Bringing in Allah
Every Now and Then Has Become a Pavlovian Impulse for All Muslims Just the Way
An Average Muslim Will Keep Parroting Inshallah And Alhamdulillah Even In His /
Her Dreams.

"Indian cricketer
Siraj’s caption, “Thank you almighty Allah”, didn’t sit well with some users.
“It’s victory of Team India, not Allah….Why attach everything with Islam,” said
a user. Another wrote, “If Allah is Almighty then why did Pakistan, Afghanistan
and Bangladesh not win? Instead of thanking the eleven players who won the
match, are you thanking Allah?”
Mohammed
Siraj
Indian
cricketer

The
backlash against Siraj’s post isn’t just unfair; it showcases a disturbing
intolerance within the fan base. His expression of gratitude is a personal act
of faith and it does not detract from the team’s collective achievement."
Agreed, we
all have become too intolerant and reacting to Siraj's caption is also
uncalled-for. But this is also right as to why should god or Allah be invoked
all the time? Bringing in Allah every now and then has become a Pavlovian
impulse for all Muslims just the way an average Muslim will keep parroting
Inshallah and Alhamdulillah even in his / her dreams.
Mind you,
the young and upcoming pacer Mohammed Siraj is 30-yr-old. You must have noticed
that youngsters belonging to all faiths have suddenly become too religious. Of
late, young people from Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism, among others have also
become religiously assertive. But Muslim youngsters are irritatingly number one
on this count.
I've many
Muslim senior friends who're all above 60. Almost all of them are very devout.
They too have implicit faith in Allah. But they don't bring in Allah's name at
the drop of a hat. Many senior Muslim friends of mine say that 'Iss Daur Ke Musalmaan Naujawaan Kuchh Zyada
Hi Mazhabi Ho Gaye Hain.'
Don't keep
harping on Allah. There're stipulated hours, moments and occasions to remember
Allah or god. Saying Allah all the time cheapens your Almighty. Unfortunately,
we all have brought our religions and respective gods out in the public
domain.
