Muslim
World Should Declare Whether the Perpetrators of Terrorism Are Muslims or the
Victims of Terrorism Are Muslims
Main
Points:
1. Muslims have
always faced the cruel brunt of terrorism and militancy.
2. Terrorism
and militancy are not traits of Islamic essence, hence the terrorists and the
militants are different from the Muslims, Allah acknowledges.
3. A human
being can brave any kind of travesty if his faith in Allah’s promises,
graciousness and kindness are impeccable.
4. Today’s
Muslims have shown remarkable restraint and patience in the face of the most
heinous of terror activities against them.
-----
Muslims
have always faced the cruel brunt of terrorism and militancy. Muslims are
killed in terrorist acts all over the world. Muslims face Islamophobia even in
the most civilised (so-called) nations of the world. And at the end of it, it
is they who are called terrorists. In this scenario, the Muslim world should
declare whether the perpetrators of terrorism are Muslims or the victims of
terrorism are Muslims. Both cannot be called Muslims. Because in the light of
the Quranic verse, "Whosoever killed a person ... it shall be as if he had
killed all mankind" - (Al-Ma'idah: 32)’. A true Muslim cannot kill a soul
whereas the terrorists and the militants are brutally killings hundreds and
hundreds of people including their brothers, in Islam. Further, the same dictum
should apply to all the other communities whose religious brethren are killing
innocents in the name of saving the democratic culture of their nations.
Allah
Wipes Out Evil Forces
Human
beings by nature show their prowess of facing all kinds of travesties that life
could throw as a challenge. A human being can brave any kind of travesty if his
faith in Allah’s promises, graciousness and kindness are impeccable.
Disappointment
is a curse that makes life miserable. But it is a trait of a psychologically
weak person. Having faith in Allah in even the direst of situations opens the
door to the solution of every problem. Human beings since inception have been a
witness to innumerable ups and downs and have also been a witness of Allah’s
help but only in the face of faith in His Greatness and Generosity.
There are
cases of prophets being rescued from the situations when they seemed to be in
the jaws of death because of their faith in Allah’s great compassion and love
for His people. Since the time of inception of the world, humanity is a witness
of Allah’s help whenever and wherever it was needed. During the lifetime of
Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Allah, the Most Gracious sent help for His true
believers in the most astonishing forms. Humankind has been blessed with the
individual as well as team successes in the most incredible ways, far away from
reality. It all has been under the belief that patience and labour are always
rewarded by Allah, the Almighty. Today’s Muslims have shown remarkable
restraint and patience in the face of the most heinous of terror activities
against them. Following Quranic verses
is Muslims strength in the face of adversaries.
“Only those who are patient shall receive their
rewards in full, without reckoning.” (Quran,
39:10)
“And be patient. Surely, Allah is with those
who are As-Sabirin.” (Quran, 8:46)
“Those will be rewarded with the highest place
(in Paradise) because of their patience. Therein they shall be met with
greetings and the word of peace and respect.” (Quran,
25:75)
Above
mentioned Quranic Ayat asks the believers to be patient in every situation and
wait for the judgement of Allah, the Most Merciful. The patient will be
rewarded and the perpetrators will be punished.
Muslims
- Both the Perpetrators and the Victims of Terrorism and Militancy
Muslims are
facing terrorism, militancy and Islamophobic abuses around the world.
Shockingly, Muslims are both the victim and Muslims are considered the
perpetrators of terrorism as well, around the world. Terrorism and militancy
are not traits of Islamic essence, hence the terrorists and the militants are
different from the Muslims, Allah acknowledges.
When they have to shower their kindness on Muslims and exhibit their
inclusive nature, they say, 'all Muslims are not terrorists but all terrorists
are Muslims.’ Whenever there is a terror incident, Muslims all over the world
are made culprit and their religion, Islam, is openly abused. Then it is called
‘freedom of speech. Neither are they condemned nor is their community asked to
condemn such evil traits of abusing religion and making the whole community
stand trial.
Amid all these
ordeals, Muslims all over the world have exhibited their utmost power of
patience and faith in Allah’s judgement and rewards. Muslims Islamic upbringing
has taught them what Allah the Exalted says in the Holy Quran and the Holy
Bible.
Quranic
Verses Teach With Hardship Comes Ease
So, surely with hardship comes ease. - (Surah Ash-Sharh - 5)
“Only those who are patient shall receive their
rewards in full, without reckoning.” (Quran,
39:10)
“And be patient. Surely, Allah is with those
who are As-Sabirin.” (Quran, 8:46)
“Those will be rewarded with the highest place
(in Paradise) because of their patience. Therein they shall be met with
greetings and the word of peace and respect.” (Quran,
25:75)
"I seek refuge with the Lord of daybreak,
from the evil of what He has created, And from the evil of the dark night when
it penetrates, And from the evil of the blowers (men or women) into knots, And
from the evil of an envious one when he envies."- (Quran 113:1–5)
"Never will we be struck except by what
Allah has decreed for us; He is our protector." And upon Allah let the
believers rely." - (At-Tauba, 51)
"I seek refuge with the Sustainer of men,
the Sovereign of men, the God of men, from the evil of the whispering, elusive
tempter who whispers in the hearts of men, from all [temptation to evil by]
invisible forces as well as men." (An- Nass 114)
Bible
Verses on the Punishment of Evil Forces
And the
devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where
the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night
forever and ever. - Revelation 20:10
The God of
peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
be with you. - Romans 16:20
Whoever
makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning
from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works
of the devil. - 1 John 3:8
Submit
yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. -
James 4:7
Therefore,
as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness
leads to justification and life for all men.
- Romans 5:18
This world
is temporary. Nothing is permanent here. Hence, everything, the good or the
bad, is temporary. Divinity always conquers the evil forces, therefore, the
evil forces of terrorism and militancy will also be conquered. They will have
to disappear from the world as they have appeared. Muslims of the world have
the truest faith in Allah’s mercies and His judgement that is always in favour
of the innocent victims.
The evil
forces of whatever denomination will taste defeat. The Holy Quran and the Holy
Bible repeatedly ask human beings to have faith that evil cannot stand guard
for a long time in front of the believer’s power of patience and belief in
Allah, the Most Gracious.
And
Allah Knows the Best.
