Caliphate In India: Who Is This Secret Jihadi? ہندو ستان میں خلافت یہ پر اسرار‘جہادی’ کون ہیں؟

This was in the beginning of July. I was coming out of the mosque after offering the namaz of Isha (the last prayer of the day) when I saw some youth distributing pamphlets at both the doors of the mosque. I was taken aback at the title of the pamphlet and read the whole text standing there. In the pamphlet the Muslims were told that the day was not too far when the whole world would be under their rule and to achieve that they should establish Khilafat and that only Khilafat was the real Islamic form of government. In the pamphlet, the Muslims of Jamia Nagar were appealed to attend a meeting at the Bade Barat Ghar in Batla House on July 11, 2010 in connection with the efforts to establish Khilafat.
Therefore, I also arrived at the place on the scheduled time. First of all, the audience were shown some video pictures. The pictures of Indonesia, Singapore, Turkey, Pakistan, Britain and the US apart from various European countries were shown. The pictures showed Muslims protesting with placards. A scroll was also running on the screen which said, “See, the Muslims the world over are demanding Khilafat( caliphate) and we should also be prepared for it.”
After that some speakers delivered their speeches. They said that the establishment of Islamic rule under Khilafat was inevitable and living under a non-Khilafat rule was a sin. As for jihad, it was said that jihad was mandatory and only a caliph elected by the Muslims can order it and that the violence and bloodshed unleashed nowadays was not jihad.
The most important fact about the meeting was that no important figure of the neighbourhood was associated with it. Even the convenor of the meeting and the two speakers seated on the stage were unknown people. Though the convenor tried his best to conceal his identity, on someone’s enquiry he said that his name was Abdur Rasheed, was a lawyer by profession and hailed from Gujarat.
The participants of this secret meeting wondered what prompted them to come from a faraway place to convene a meeting here. Who are backing them and what are their plans? Their sincerity and honesty can be gauged by the fact that the pictures purportedly of the Khilafat movement in various countries they showed were a bundle of lies because they belonged to the time when blasphemous cartoons were published in Denmark which had caused deep anxiety among the Muslims. Nevertheless, they could not be termed as the movement for the establishment of Khilafat as they were part of peaceful protests of the Muslims the world over against the insult to the Prophet (PBUH).
I was all the more surprised to realise that the person who was provoking the Muslims against the democratic government and democratic constitution terming it as ‘satanic’ and evil was himself a lawyer in the Indian judiciary and earning his bread and butter through the laws formed by the very constitution he branded un-Islamic. Could there be a bigger paradox than that?
The attempts to mobilise Muslim youth by raising deceitful slogans have been made in the past as well that always led to destruction. The fate of the Jamat Islami of Pakistan, Ikhwanul Muslimeen of Egypt and the Taliban of Afghanistan is there for all to see. In our country too, some gullible elements earned name and fame by raising similar slogans, constituted Muslim Parliament through which they earned fame and wealth but at the same time played an important role in destroying the nation’s unity and integrity. However, the Muslims of the country have become aware of their reality which is why no Muslim religious scholar of the country has extended his support to the people pushing for Khilafat or Islamic rule. No important personality of Batla House was seen in the meeting. I strongly believe that the Muslims of this country will not fall into the trap of these people any more. But the people who convene these meetings can, however, strengthen communal forces like Sangh Parivar and its affiliates. At a time when the whole country is peaceful and the involvement of Sangh Parivar is becoming more evident by the day, people raising slogans of Khilafat or Islamic state can only instill new life into the corpses of these outfits.
My humble advice to these people is that in this country where Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians live harmoniously together, they should not indulge in inflammatory and provocative religious sloganeering as it will not work in this country that belongs to Indians associated with different religions and cultures. They should go to Pakistan or Afghanistan and live with people establishing Khilafat through their so-called jihad and exploding bombs day in and day out in the name of jihad. Their wish of martyrdom and meeting the houris can be fulfilled sooner than later there.
It is strange that these elements want Khilafat for the Muslims in a country where they constitute 20 per cent of the population and are better off educationally and religiously than their coreligionists in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Indonesia and Arab. They should go to Saudi Arabia and talk about Khilafat, then only they will realise what it means speaking against the rule of law and what fate awaits them. It is an irony that Abu Hamza of Egypt leaves his own country to become an imam in a mosque in a foreign country and openly supports Osama bin Laden. Masood Azhar of Pakistan speaks of jihad against India and America, brainwashes Muslim youth of Pakistan and sends them to Afghanistan to wage jihad against America but he himself remains in hiding in Pakistan. The peace loving citizens of Pakistan should ask these people why they do not go to the front first and meet with martyrdom instead of sending the boys and why don’t they themselves try to meet the houris they promise the youth.
It is high time we stood up against all forms of extremism. The Muslim intellectuals and scholars should deal with the extremism growing among the Muslim community strictly. Simultaneously, our Hindu brethren should also stand up against the Hindu extremists. We should bear this in mind that as Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians freed the country together, so we will have to wage a jihad against extremism of all hues unitedly.

ماہ جولائی کے ابتدائی دنوں کا ذکر ہے راقم نماز عشا ادا کرکے مسجد سےنکل رہا تھا کہ دیکھا چند نوجوان مسجد کے دونوں دروازوں پر پمفلٹ تقسیم کررہے ہیں۔ پمفلیٹ کا عنوان دیکھ کر ہم روک گئے اور پورے پمفلیٹ کو وہیں کھڑے کھڑے دیکھا ۔اس پمفلیٹ میں مسلمانوں کو بتایا گیا تھا کہ وہ دن دور نہیں ہے کہ جب دنیا پر ان کی حکومت ہوگی اور یہ اس کے لئے ہمیں خلافت کا قیام کرتا ہوگا اور خلافت ہی اصل اسلامی نظام حکومت ہے ۔ اس پمفلٹ میں جامعہ نگر کے مسلمانوں سے اپیل کی گئی تھی کہ وہ 11جولائی 2010کو چار بجے بٹلہ ہاؤس کے بڑی بارات گھر پہنچ کر خلافت کے قیام میں ہونے والی کوششوں کے تعلق سے منعقد جلسے میں شریک ہوں۔
لہٰذا راقم الحروف بھی وقت منسر وپر مذکورہ مقام پر پہنچ گیا وہاں پر سب سے پہلے حاضرین کو ویڈیو اسکرین پر کچھ تصویر یں دکھائی گئیں ۔انڈونیشیا ،سنگاپور ،ترکی ،پاکستان ، برطانیہ ،امریکہ سمیت متعدد یوروپی واسلامی ممالک کی تصاویر دکھائی گئیں ۔ ان تصاویر میں مسلمان پلے کارڈ لئے ہوئے احتجاج کرتے دکھائی دے رہے ہیں۔ ان تصاویر پر ایک پٹی چل رہی تھی جس میں کہا جارہا تھا کہ دیکھئے پوری دنیا میں مسلمان خلافت کا مطالبہ کررہے ہیں اور ہم کو کبھی خلافت کے لئے تیار ہوجانا چاہئے ۔پھر کچھ لوگوں کی تقاریر ہوئیں جس میں کہا گیا کہ خلافت کے تحت اسلامی حکومت کا قیام ناگزیر ہے اور اس کے خلاف زندگی گزارنا گناہ ہے ۔ جہاد کے تعلق سے کہا گیا کہ جہاد نہ حق ہے اور اس کا حکم مسلمانوں کا منتخب کردہ خلیفہ ہی دے سکتا ہے اور یہ آج کل جو فساد برپا ہے وہ جہاد نہیں ہے۔
اس اجلاس کے بارے میں سب سے اہم بات یہ تھی کہ اس علاقہ کی کسی بھی قابل ذکر شخصیت کا اس سے تعلق نہیں تھا حتیٰ کے جلسے کے ناظم صاحب اور اسٹیج پر بیٹھے وہ مقرر صاحبان تک بالکل انجانے لوگ تھے، جلسے کے ناظم بھی اپنی شناخت پوشیدہ رکھنے کی کوشش میں تھے لیکن حاضرین میں سے کسی کے سوال کے جواب میں انہوں نے فرمایا کہ ان کا نام عبدالرشید ہے اور وہ پیشہ سے وکیل ہیں اور گجرات کے باشندہ ہیں۔
اس پر اسرار جلسے میں تمام شرکا حیران تھے کہ آخر اتنی دور سے یہاں آکر لوگوں کو اس طرح کانفرنسں کرنے کی کیا ضرورت پڑی تھی۔ کون لوگ ہیں ان حضرات کے پیچھے اور ان کے عزائم کیا ہیں؟ ان لوگوں کے اخلاص کا اندازہ اسی بات سے لگایا جاسکتا ہے کہ خلافت کے متعلق سے انہوں نے دنیا بھر کے ممالک کی جو تصاویر دکھا ئی تھیں وہ سب جھوٹ کا پلندہ تھیں کیونکہ وہ اس وقت کی تصاویر تھیں جب ڈنمارک میں پیغمبر اسلامؐ کے اہانت آمیز کارٹون بنانے گئے تھے جس سے تمام دنیا کے مسلمانوں میں بے چینی تھی لیکن اس کو خلافت کی ڈیمانڈ نہیں کہا جاسکتا بلکہ وہ اہانت رسولؐ کے خلاف دنیا بھر کے مسلمانوں کا پر امن احتجاج تھا۔
وہاں ہمیں یہ دیکھ کر بھی حیرانی ہوئی کہ جمہوری طرز حکومت جمہوری دستور کا شیطانی بتا کر خلافت کے نام پر مسلمانوں کو ورغلا نے والا شخص خو د ہندوستانی عدلیہ میں وکالت کرتا ہے اور جس دستور کو وہ غیر اسلامی قرار دے رہاتھا وہ اسی کے وضع کردہ قوانین سے اپنی روزی روٹی کھاتا ہے کیا اس سے بڑا کوئی استاد ہوسکتا ہے ؟
اس طرح کے پرفریب نعرے بلند کر کے مسلم نوجوانوں کو ورغلا نے کی ماضی میں بھی کوششیں کی جاچکی ہیں لیکن سب کا نتیجہ تباہی اور بربادی ہے سوا کچھ نہیں نکلا ۔ پاکستان کی جماعت اسلامی، مصر کی اخوان المسلمین اور افغانستان میں طالبان کا حشر دنیا کے سامنے ہے۔ہمارے ملک میں بھی کچھ نادانوں نے اس طرح کے نعرے لگا کر خوب نام کمایا، مسلم پارلیمنٹ بنائی جس کے ذریعہ انہوں نے دولت وشہرت تو کمائی لیکن ملک کے اتحاد ویکجہتی کو پارہ پارہ کرنے میں انہوں نے کافی اہم رول ادا کیا۔ لیکن اللہ کا شکر ہے کہ اس ملک کے مسلمان اب ان سے اچھی طرح واقف ہوچکے ہیں ۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ خلافت اسلامی یا حکومت اسلامی کا نعرہ دینے والوں کے ساتھ ملک کاکوئی بھی عالم دین نہیں ہے۔ کوئی قابل ذکر شخصیت بٹلہ ہاؤس کے اس جلسہ میں نظر نہیں آتی ۔ ہمیں یقین ہے کہ اس طرح کی بات کرنے والوں ک دام فریب میں اب اس ملک کے مسلمان آنے والے نہیں ہیں۔ لیکن اس طرح کے پروگراموں کو منعقد کر کے وہ ملک کے فرقہ پرستی کی آگ میں جھونکنے والے عزائم کے حامل سنگھ پریوار اور اس کے ہمنواؤں میں نئی روح ضرور پھونک سکتے ہیں ۔ آج جبکہ پورا ملک امن وامان سے ہے اور سنگھ پریوار کے لوگوں کو بم دھماکوں میں ملوث ہونا روز بروز اجاگر ہوتا جارہا ہے ایسے وقت میں اسلامی حکومت یاخلافت کے نعرے لگانے والے ان کے مردہ جسم میں نئی روح پھونکنے کا کام ضرور کرسکتے ہیں۔
ایسے لوگوں کو ہمارا مشورہ ہے کہ ہمارے ملک میں جہاں ہندو مسلم عیسائی ہی مل جل کر رہے ہیں یہ ملک یہاں کے رہنے والے مختلف مذاہب اور مختلف تہذیبوں سے تعلق رکھنے والے ہندوستانیوں کا ہے یہاں پر اشتعال انگیز مذہبی نعرے کام نہیں آسکتے ۔اس لئے اس قسم کے لوگوں کو چاہئے کہ وہ پاکستان ،افغانستان چلے جائیں وہاں جاکر خلافت قائم کرنے والوں کے ساتھ رہیں اور روز بروز ہونے والے بم دھماکوں کے نام نہاد جہاد میں جاکر شامل ہو ں کہ اس طرح بہت جلد ہی ان کا جام شہادت کا شوق بھی پورا ہوسکتا ہے اور آخر ت کے حورو غلما ن سے بہت جلد ملاقات ہوسکتی ہے۔
کتنی عجیب بات ہے کہ جہاں مسلمان 20فیصد ہیں اور پاکستان افغانستان ،انڈونیشیا اور دیگر عرب ممالک کے بالمقابل تعلیمی اور مذہبی لحاظ سے بہتر زندگی گزار رہے ہیں وہاں ان عناصر کو خلافت چاہئے ۔ ان عناصر کو سعودی عرب جاکر خلافت کی بات کرنی چاہئے تاکہ ان کو معلوم ہو کہ وہ اس قدر بے لگام ہمارے ملک میں ہیں اگر وہاں جاکر یہ سب کچھ کرتے ہوئے پائے گئے تو ان کا کیا حشر ہوگا۔ یہ ایک المیہ ہی ہے کہ مصر کے ابوہمزہ اپنے ملک کو چھوڑ کر ایک مسجد میں امام بن کر اسامہ بن لادن کی حمایت کرتے ہیں۔ پاکستان کے مسعود اظہر بھارت اور امریکہ کے خلاف جہاد کی بات کرتے ہیں، پاکستان نے نوجوانوں کو گمراہ کر کے افغانستان میں امریکہ کے خلاف محاذ جنگ پر روانہ کرتے ہیں لیکن خود پاکستان میں چھپے بیٹھے رہتے ہیں، پاکستان کے امن پسند مسلمان سے نوجوانوں کو ورغلا کر بھیج رہے ہیں وہاں پہلے آپ خود کیوں نہیں جاتے تاکہ آپ جام شہادت پائیں اور جن شور غلمان کے خواب آپ نوجوانوں کو دکھاتے ہو آپ خود کیوں جلد از جلد ان کو حاصل کرنے کی کوشش کرتے ؟
اب وقت آگیا ہے کہ ہم ہر طرح کی شدت پسندی کے خلاف اٹھ کھڑے ہوں۔ ملک ومتش سے محبت رکھنے والے مسلم دانشوروں اور علما کر چاہئے کہ وہ مسلم طبقہ میں پنپنے والی شدت کے خلاف سختی سے پیش آئیں اسی طرح ہندو بھائیوں کو بھی ہندوانتہا پسندوں کے خلا ف کھڑے ہوجانا چاہئے کیونکہ اسی ملک کی بھلائی ہے ۔ہمیں یادرکھنا چاہئے کہ جس طرح ہندو مسلم سکھ عیسائی سب سے مل کر ملک کو آزاد کرایا ہے ٹھیک اسی طرح متحد ہوکر ہمیں ہر طرح کی شدت پسندی کے خلاف جہاد کرنا ہوگا۔
