A Hindu shopkeeper (L) was killed in
Udaipur by two men (R) over a social media post in support of Nupur Sharma.
-----
Unrest has
spread throughout the nation as a result of the horrifying murder of a Hindu
tailor master Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur, Rajasthan, which occurred following a
widespread outcry against Nupur Sharma's blasphemous remark. The entire nation
is experiencing a wave of regret and is denouncing this incident. Muslim
leaders, Ulama, and groups all around the country have denounced it. They
described the incident as being brutal, repulsive, and overtly anti-Islamic.
Additionally, they said it violated national traditions and was an example of
excessive religious extremism that had no place in a civilised society.
Killers Of
Humanity, Enemies Of The Prophet Of Peace: All India Ulama And Mashaikh Board
The killing
of Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur has been harshly denounced by Syed Mohammad Ashraf
Kachuchhovi, founder and president of the All India Ulama and Mashaikh Board
and chairman of the World Sufi Forum and severe punishment for the murderers
has been requested. He declared, “This incident is a disgrace to all of
humanity.” Because Allah Almighty states in Surah Al-Maida of the Holy Quran
that whoever kills a single human being is as if he kills the entire humanity,
and whoever saves a human being's life is as if he saves the entire humanity,
he said that the murderers are the enemies of the Prophet and the murderers of
all humanity. How, therefore, is the murder of a human being justifiable? It is
blatantly against what the Quran teaches.
“As it is
said that the person who was killed had supported the insulter of the Prophet,
Nupur Sharma, as a result of which the brutal and violent thinkers disregarded
the precepts of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Quran, taking law
into their own hands, and thereby committing an abhorrent crime that deserves
more than condemnation. In the name of loving the Prophet, this is outright
hostility toward the Prophet”, he said.
He demanded
that these offenders be sternly punished in addition to Nupur Sharma's
immediate detention, in order to foil any plans to sow unrest in our country by
enticing the youth.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He added
saying, “For Muslims, the glory of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) is greater
than their lives. Of course, Muslims are deeply saddened and deeply hurt by
Nupur Sharma's statement, which makes them angry, but Islam does not permit
anyone to take anyone's life in the name of the Prophet, so the perpetrators
themselves are insulting the Prophet because their actions will allow others to
criticise the Prophet's teachings. Each citizen must let the law operate in a
constitutionally permissive manner without interfering, and the government must
take strong action against anyone who disparages any religion. There shouldn't
be any wait, indeed.”

Incident Is Extremely Reprehensible: Jamiat-E-Ulama-I-Hind
The general
secretary of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, Maulana Hakeemuddin Qasmi, described the
occurrence of the alleged killing in Udaipur following a blasphemous speech as
extremely regrettable and condemnable in every aspect. He declared,
"Whoever committed this act cannot in any way be justified because it
violates both our religion and the law of the state. He declared, "Our country
has a system of law, and no one has the right to take the law into hands.”
Maulana
Hakeemuddin Qasmi asked everyone in the country to control their emotions and
do their share to maintain the rule of law on this particular occasion.
President
of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani described the murder of a
non-Muslim tailor master in Udaipur and the assassins' subsequent justification
of it in a video as a disgusting deed in the name of humanity and denigration
of Islam. According to Maulana Madani, this crime committed by anyone poses a
serious problem and brings national disgrace upon the justice system. No one
has the right to take the law into their hands, he declared.
According
to Maulana Madani, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind opposes all types of extremism and asks
that anyone who practises it, regardless of their faith or nationality, be
subjected to harsh punishment. Such circumstances occur because of the biased
attitude of the enforcement agencies. Whether there has been an incident or tragedy
involving disrespecting the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), it is crucial
that governments remain attentive and take strong action to prevent the spread
of this mentality.
Maulana
Madani issued a special call for the country's citizens to uphold law and order
on this occasion and urged everyone to oppose sectarianism, regardless of race,
creed, or nationality.
…
Maulana Saifullah Manzar said that what happened in Udaipur Rajasthan is a very shameful and anti-Islamic act and that Islam never allows such brutality and senseless killing. He said, “I strongly condemn this and call on the government and the administration to punish the perpetrators severely.”
…
According
to Dr Razi-ul-Islam Nadvi, the murderous tragedy in Udaipur has made matters
worse for Indian Muslims and has led people to interpret Islam incorrectly. How
odd it is for a Muslim to act in a way that angers Allah and His Messenger
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and incites their wrath, all while
professing their love for him.
…
Zainullah
Nizami, chairman of the Ghausia Falah Millat Foundation, said in a comment
posted on social media:
“It is a
tragic fact that hundreds of people have been killed across the country because
of their religion. However, the current religious gloss that the media is
providing to the rumour market could prove to be rather harmful in the long
run. In 2014, 64 cow-related murders occurred, all of which were committed
while shouting "Jai Shri Ram." Since then, there have been about 20
incidents targeting Muslim beards and hats, and all of the riots that have
erupted across the country have killed Muslims and cost them life and wealth,
primarily due to intolerance. We vehemently condemn the Udaipur case, but we
also want to make it clear that such conspiracies and media campaigns against
Muslims might be highly harmful. As a result, avoid participation in TV channel
programming and take precautions to safeguard Muslim lives and property through
ongoing teamwork.”

Udaipur
incident is barbaric and uncivilised: Indian Jamaat-e-Islami
The Indian
Jamaat-e-Islami has also harshly condemned the incident. According to the
Jamaat-e-Islami of India, the incident in Udaipur was "barbaric and
uncivilised" and "violence is not justified in Islam.” It said, “We
categorically oppose it. None of us should try to impose our own laws. Give the
law the upper hand.”
----
Udaipur
Incident, a product of hate speech and anti-Islamic: Muslim Consultative
Council of India
According
to a statement from the All India Muslim Consultative Assembly, people who
commit such crimes while professing to adore the Prophet of Islam should face
the heaviest legal sanctions. The event in Udaipur was the product of hate
speech and is not Islamic.
…
Masood Baig
said, “Islamic principles have clearly been violated by the senseless
assassination of a Hindu tailor who had backed former BJP spokesperson Nupur
Sharma (now suspended from the party but free from legal restraint). This
distressing occurrence merits more than just condemnation. The Muslims of India
demand that those who commit murder and incite hatred to be dealt with harshly
and as quickly as possible. The degree to which the politics of hatred and the
culture of hatred that have emerged in India over the last eight to ten years
have flourished is difficult to illustrate with examples from other parts of
the world. Hatred feeds on itself. Shashi Tharoor, a senior member of the
Congress, correctly forewarned the Modi administration and the people of the
impending scenario and risks, which have now manifested. Hate crimes and hate
politics are a serious stain on humanity in a civilised society. Government and
the judiciary must hear these cases and impose punishment as soon as is
practical under the constitution.”

We Won't
Permit Talibanization of the Country: Ajmer Dargah Khawaja Gharib Nawaz's
Sajjada Nasheen Syed Zainul Abidin
Syed Zainul
Abidin said that what happened in Udaipur due to Nupur Sharma's comments
deserves more than just condemnation. Such acts are not allowed by Islam, by
the Quran, or by any of the teachings of the Prophet of Islam. “I urge Hindus,
Muslims and followers of all religions in India to maintain unity in the
country”, he said.
He further
said, “At the same time, I'd like to make it clear that we won't permit Talibanization
of the country. This is due to the fact that such acts not only defame Islam
but also degrade the mood and undermine communal cohesion and solidarity. I beg
the government to harshly punish those accused. The world has looked to our
country as an example. Our strength is our Ganga-Jamni civilization. We must
keep it.”
…
Udaipur
incident is extremely unpleasant and terrible: Professor Akhtarul Wasey
Professor
Akhtarul Wasey, an Islamic scholar, described the Udaipur incident as extremely
unpleasant and terrible. He said, “Remember that using violence to solve any
dispute is never a good idea. Weak people often resort to violence. We must be
careful not to do anything that might disturb the nation's peace and order or
the patience of the Muslims themselves. I urge everyone who was a part of the
violence in Udaipur or who was the victim of it to persevere. Be cautious and
avoid putting law and order in a dangerous scenario”.
He
continued by saying that “this occurrence violates every human rule and law.
Such reckless behaviour is prohibited by the Indian Constitution. One should
follow the law of the land if one has a complaint. Instead of taking the law
into our hands, we should seek help from the country's judicial system.”
-----
Mufti
Manzoor Ziyai denounced the incident and claimed that both the country and its
citizens were moving in the wrong direction. This is what caused such an
incident to happen. Government agencies should deal with those who violate the
law. He made the case that the criminals ought to suffer harsh legal
repercussions. “We disapprove of such conduct.
No one has the authority to take the law into their hands. There must be
adherence to the law”, he said.
----
Maulana
Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahalli has vehemently condemned the Udaipur incident and
demanded drastic measures to stop similar incidents in the future. He also urged the country to remain peaceful.
In addition to saying that one should live in a pleasant environment and show
respect and affection to every member of society, he said that the Prophet of
Islam forgave his adversaries. There should be no oppression. Even his fiercest
foes were forgiven by the Islamic Prophet. Therefore, everyone is urged to
preserve the nation's peace and serenity. Nobody has the authority to commit an
act similar to the one in Udaipur.
----
Maulana
Sufyan Nizami declared, "We strongly condemn the violent and awful
scenario that has erupted in Udaipur, Rajasthan," speaking on behalf of
Darul Uloom Farangi Mahalli. The law and the constitution have given people in
our nation the right and freedom to record complaints if they so choose.
Different methods of connecting with governments exist. No one has been given
the power to carry out such a deed by taking the law into their own hands.
Therefore, we implore the government to punish those responsible severely for
whatever happens in order to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
----
Maulana
Zaheer Abbas Razvi, a well-known religious expert from Mumbai, strongly
condemned the Udaipur incident, calling it abominable behaviour that had no
place in Islam or the Quran. It is unbearable. We have to accept that this is
not the solution. The community's atmosphere can be affected by such incidents.
I respectfully ask everyone to uphold the law and order. Never attempt to enact
your own laws. This behaviour is reprehensible and ought to be forcefully
condemned.

The Killing
of humanity in Udaipur is shameful, against Islam and humanity: Ulama of
Rajasthan
The
massacre of people in Udaipur, according to the Ulama of Rajasthan, is
reprehensible and goes against both Islam and humanity. They made it clear that
violence has no place in Islam. They have harshly denounced the assassination
of Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur, arguing that it was very disgusting conduct and that
killing one person amounted to killing all of humanity. This has been done in a
very horrible way against humanity and Islam. The Ulama criticised the violence
in the harshest terms as being wrong in every sense when the Voice of Urdu
spoke to them about it.
----
No place
for violence in Islam: Grand Mufti of Rajasthan Maulana Sher Muhammad
Allah
Almighty abhors violence, according to Maulana Sher Muhammad, the most revered
mufti of Rajasthan. The Islamic faith forbids violence. According to Islam,
don't commit bloodshed on earth. The direction of humanity and harmony is the
only straight path. He claimed that Udaipur was the scene of this crime against
humanity. Harmony, sincerity, and love are the only rules that govern life.
Spilling blood cannot possibly result in anything good. He further asserted
that killing someone in such a brutal way was not worth it. It is regrettable
and embarrassing.
---
The killing
of a man in Udaipur is terribly tragic: Pir Abul Hasan Minai Chishti
The leader
of the Dargah Khawaja Abdul Latif Shah Najmi Sulamani Chishti, Pir Qari
Muhammad Abul Hasan Minai Chishti, stated that the murder of a man in Udaipur
is extremely regrettable and that it should be condemned in the strongest
words. In Rajasthan, a state in India that is the home of Hindu-Muslim harmony,
it is extremely wrong to commit acts of manslaughter. He declared, “Everyone
has the right to a happy, tranquil life. Islam forbids all forms of violence.”
----
Violence is
a repugnant stain on the beautiful city of Udaipur: Muhammad Atiq Marwar, CEO
of the Muslim Educational and Welfare Society
According
to Muhammad Atiq Marwar, the CEO and vice president of Marwar Muslim
Educational and Welfare Society, Rajasthan is well-known for its tourism
throughout the world. It is a lake city. A man's murder in Udaipur, the
paradise of Rajasthan, is a distasteful taint. He asserted that the true path
of Islam and mankind is nonviolence. According to Muhammad Atiq, Islam detests
violence and bloodshed. The actual identities of India, Rajasthan, and Islam
are those of the Ganga-Jamni civilization and interfaith peace. You shouldn't
take the law of the land into your own hands.
----
Murder of
Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur against humanity and Islam: Qazi of Jodhpur
As the Qazi
of Jodhpur, Maulana Wahid Ali, put it, "People of all religions in
Rajasthan have been living like flowers for years. India is a magnificent
garden." To kill a man in Udaipur is against humanity. He asserted that
the typical Udaipur resident values tranquilly and prefers a quiet life.
-----
Udaipur
incident is a horrific crime, a disgrace to humanity, and against Islamic
teachings: Syed Ahmad Bukhari, the Royal Imam of Jama Masjid
In response
to the murder of a non-Muslim tailor master in Udaipur, Syed Ahmad Bukhari, the
royal imam of the Shahjahani Jama Masjid, described the incident as a horrific
crime, a disgrace to humanity, and against Islamic teachings.
He said,
“The horrific, terrible murder in Udaipur affected people. It is not only
cowardly, but also against Islam, illegal, and inhumane, for two people named
Riyadh and Gaus to have killed a man named Kanhaiyalal in such a way and in the
name of the Holy Prophet. In my own name and on behalf of Indian Muslims, I vehemently
condemn this atrocity. Islam is a peaceful faith. In the life of the Prophet of
Allah (peace be upon him), compassion, tolerance, charity, and philanthropy are
all prominent themes. If the perpetrators had studied the life and character of
the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), had been well-versed in the Quran, and
understood the Shariah, they would not have committed this horrific murder.”
