Lehi or the
Stern Gang was the first terrorist organisation of the world formed in 1940 by
the Zionist Jews for political objectives. The group succeeded in achieving its
objectives and some of the terrorists of Lehi later became prime ministers and
ministers of the newly formed Israel. The West found terrorism and militantism
a useful tool in geopolitics. In the 80s, the US helped Ziaul Haque, the
dictator of Pakistan, to finance and train the Taliban in order to fight the
Russian occupation in Afghanistan.
During this
time Osama bin Laden, the disciple of Mohammad Qutb, came into prominence. He
was groomed by the Pentagon against Russia. This experiment was successful and
the Taliban ousted Russia from Afghanistan. Osama bin Laden then formed his own
terrorist group Al Qaida which worked to promote the interests of the US and
NATO. The idea of jihad was used by Al Qaida to draw Muslims towards the
organisation. The group drew the sympathy of the Muslims by urging them to wage
jihad against the tyrant US. The terrorist activities of the Al Qaida provided
the US and the NATO to interfere in the internal affairs of the Muslim
countries and attack them. The US also established its military bases at the
pretext of war on terrorism.
Interestingly,
the US and the NATO attacked Afghanistan at the pretext of eliminating the same
Osama bin Laden and Taliban whom they used to oust Russia from Afghanistan and
occupied Afghanistan for 20 years. This time they blamed the terrorist attacks
on the Twin Towers of New York by Al Qaida. But a former CIA spy Riconociuto
had claimed that he had warned the US government six months before the attacks
that terrorist attacks might be made in the US. He had also said that the
Quebec airport was used for the rehearsal of the attacks. But the US government
had pooh-poohed his claims. Later Riconociuto was jailed in various charges.
This kind of attitude was also demonstrated by the Israel's defence ministry
when two female soldiers of the IDF had told their senior officers that Hamas
was preparing for a big attack on Israel. The officers termed their claims a
figment of their imagination. That is why the Israeli army has refused to
conduct an internal inquiry into the 7 October attacks.
The
misinterpretation of the idea of jihad by some extremist ulema was used by
militant and terrorist organisations like the Taliban, Al Qaida, ISIS, Boko
Haram and Al Shabab to justify their violence.
The idea of
jihad in turn proved to be a useful strategic tool for the western nations and
they created new militant and terrorist organisations to further their
geopolitical objectives. Jihad was declared mandatory for establishing Islamic
Shariah or Caliphate. The militant and terrorist organisations acquired the
sympathy and support of Muslims by claiming that they wanted to establish
caliphate or a government based on Islamic Shariah. The truth was that these
organisations were the creations of the western nations particularly the US.
The latest
terrorist organisation created by the US was the ISIS. Like the Taliban, the ISIS
was also created by the US to oust Russia from the Middle East. Russia had
developed trade relations with Syria and had formed a military block with Iran
in the region. The US considered the growing influence of Russia in the Middle
East a threat to its hegemony in the region. Therefore, it took advantage of
the chaos and anarchy in the region caused by the 2011 Arab Spring and soon the
protests were hijacked by the ISIS and offshoots of Al Qaida. The ISIS
established its so-called caliphate in Mosul in June 2014.
The US very
cunningly provided ISIS caliphate the tanks and other military equipment to
further strengthen it. The Iraqi army, controlled by the US went to fight but
ran away leaving the tanks, armoured vehicles and huge cache of arms and ammunitions
in the area controlled by the ISIS pretending to be defeated by Abu Bakr's
mujahideen. This modus operandi was again adopted by the US when the US army
left Afghanistan. The US army left all its tanks and arms and ammunition in the
Taliban controlled region strengthening their military against the Afghan army
in order to ensure their ascent to power.
Ironically,
the so called ulema and Islamic organisations of India and Middle East
supported the ISIS caliphate because of the deep-rooted belief that a caliphate
will solve all the problems of the Muslims. It will conquer the world and crush
the US. The US knew the religious psychology of Muslims and used this belief to
their advantage. After destroying the Muddle East, the US easily eliminated the
ISIS. The ISIS is now carrying out terrorist attacks in Islamic countries and
the ulema who had supported and glorified the ISIS are now hiding their face.
Now, the
ulema of the Muslims are predicting that Imam Mehdi will soon appear and solve
all the problems of the Muslims. He will unite all the Muslims of the world and
under his leadership, the Muslims will conquer country after country and defeat
the enemies of Muslims. On YouTube, we find predictions by ulema that Imam
Mehdi will arrive soon. Some even claim he has already arrived and has been
waiting for an appropriate time to appear. One wonders how the ulema of
different sects will accept Imam Mehdi as their imam and be united under his
leadership when they do not consider the Muslims of other sects Muslims.
Since the
West has always exploited the beliefs of Muslims to its advantage, there is a
great possibility that the US may create another terrorist organisation called,
say, Lashkar-e-Mehdi that will claim to be the army of Imam Mehdi. The ulema
will glorify it and will wake up and realise their mistake after the US and the
NATO will have destroyed the remaining Muslim countries. As long as the Muslims
will believe in violence and bloodshed in the name of jihad, the West will
continue to fool them.
