The
Muslim Nation Slipped 700 Years behind the West As A Result Of a Reduction in
the Thirst for Science and Technology

1.
Why Islamic
nations stopped conducting scientific research and why Muslims weren't
satisfied with scientific advancements?
2.
Was it
possible for 30 lakh Muslims to pray simultaneously at Masjid al-Haram before
the advent of Western modern science and technology?

to research, there are just five international universities among the 76 Muslim
countries that make up the OIC

------
Let us
start by pointing out that, in contrast to the 5758 universities in America,
there are only 498 universities in Muslim countries. India has 8500
universities. On the other hand, 285 religious organisations and parties are
active in Pakistan, of which 28 are political and religious parties and 124
have jihad as their primary objective, according to a Daily Times poll.
There
are roughly 25 Muslim countries with literacy rates that vary from 25 to 28 per
cent, with some having as low as 10%. However, no Muslim country has a 100%
literacy rate.
According
to research, there are just five international universities among the 76 Muslim
countries that make up the OIC or one institution for every three million
Muslims. In contrast, there are 8,500 private and public institutions operating
in India, 6,000 universities in the US, 950 in Japan, and 900 in China.
In
contrast, there are 104 million Jews worldwide and 2 billion Muslims, meaning
that one Jew is equal to one hundred Muslims, or put another way, one Jew is
heavier than one hundred Muslims. In the past century, 71 Jews have received
the Nobel Prize for their outstanding contributions to literature, science, and
research. Compared to them, only three people in the Muslim world have received
this honour.
Even in
the fields of medicine, research, and literature, there isn't a single Muslim
who might qualify for the King Faisal Award presented by the Muslim-run
"King Faisal International Foundation Saudi Arabia."
Is it
not unfortunate for the Muslims from the Nile's banks to Taba Khak-e-Kashgar
that 1.5 million Jews outperform them in every sphere of endeavour while 22
Arab nations failed to compete with Israel in any of these areas—science,
research, medicine, or even as hapless soldiers? On the other hand, there is
anarchy and disagreement among the more than 12 billion Muslims.
Let me
ask a question. Was it possible for 30 lakh Muslims to pray simultaneously at Masjid
al-Haram before the advent of Western modern science and technology? Wasn't
science responsible for Haram Sharif's modern electricity system
and the sky-high buildings? Western education and Christian or Jewish
scientists have made all of this feasible.
The
elevators that swiftly lift millions of worshipers to several floors were not
created by "believers." The greatest type of sound system the Haram
has enables the Imam's voice to be clearly heard throughout the thousands of
rooms inside Haram Sharif and the hundreds of structures around
it. Additionally, this audio system was not developed by Muslims.
Muslims
make up 6.3% of the worldwide education workforce, and when compared to other
countries, they are 85 years behind.
When the Tartars came in the seventh century, we made a terrible
mistake. We placed religious education against the modern and current sciences
in competition with them. Since then, there has been a decline in the desire
for study and knowledge, and as a result, we are currently 700 years behind the
West.
Despite
eight hundred years of Muslim control in Andalusia, today there are no signs of
Islamic adherents or remnants of Islamic civilisation, with the exception of
the ruins of Granada and Cordoba and Al-Humra. The same is true
for the golden bird, India; except for the Taj Mahal in Agra, the Red
Fort in Delhi, the Jama Masjid in Lahore, etc., there is no indication
left of the Muslim civilisation and its millennia-long dominion over the
country.
Following
1350, there were increasingly fewer Muslims working in education. The worst
mistake made by the Muslim Sultans was their disregard for education. They did
not build as many madrassas, schools, universities, or labs as other
nations did, and they did not give it the importance it needed.
On the
other hand, the Christians, Greeks, etc., continued to profit from the
sciences. In addition, later on, they also constructed internationally renowned
laboratories that were known as "Shamsia." Muslims have never
shown much interest in the fields of knowledge, especially science, whether
they were ruled by the Ottoman Turks, the Safavid monarchs of Iran, the Mughals
of India, or other sultans.
It is
unknown why scientific research was discontinued in the Islamic world and why
Muslims were dissatisfied with scientific achievements. I won't bore you with
the lengthy and traumatic details, but I firmly think that whoever knocks on
the door of knowledge will find the door unlocked. Muslims are unable to access
the knowledge because they have no interest, but those who have knocked can.

We are both oppressors and the downtrodden, belonging to every city. Why this
did happen to us, I believe, should be your next thought.
