Abstract:
The article explains how negative politics is damaging society and creating social pollution. Today, many politicians focus more on power, selfish interests, and spreading hatred than on public welfare and national development. Abusive language, false accusations, and religious discrimination are increasing in political speeches and election campaigns. Such behavior creates fear, tension, violence, and division among different communities. The article also highlights that political supporters sometimes become emotional and create unrest after elections, which further harms social harmony. True democracy requires equal treatment for all citizens, regardless of religion or caste.
It stresses that moral values, respectful language, justice, and national unity are essential for healthy politics. Without political ethics, society moves towards hatred and destruction instead of peace, equality, development, and collective progress for everyone.

Main Points:
· Negative politics spreads hatred, fear, and social division among different communities in society today.
· Many politicians now prefer power and personal interests over public welfare and national development goals.
· Abusive speeches and religious discrimination badly damage democracy, peace, equality, and social harmony in society.
· Political morality demands equal treatment for all citizens, regardless of religion, caste, or community differences.
· Healthy politics promotes justice, unity, respect, and collective progress instead of hatred and social unrest.

Negative politics plays a major role in polluting the atmosphere of society. The modern concept of politics has become very weak and is mostly based on selfish interests and the desire for dominance. This is why society today is being polluted most by those who are connected with politics and leadership. When a person stands before the public and uses abusive language, lies, false accusations, and hateful speeches only to fulfil personal interests, it becomes difficult even to imagine how badly the social environment is damaged and polluted.
The decline in political morality has been visible for a long time, but today the standard of many political leaders has become extremely low and shameful. This can be understood from the fact that in order to gain power, anything is considered acceptable, whether it means insulting minorities, especially Muslims, or taking unfair steps to weaken rival political parties. There is hardly any political morality, decency, or respectful language left in elections and public speeches. The present political situation truly reflects a dangerous condition.
Until now, we have always learnt that environmental pollution spreads because of the misuse of air, water, land, and other natural resources. But the truth is that today one of the biggest causes of social pollution is the decline of morality in politics. This can easily be understood from the speeches and statements given by politicians during state and national elections. Listening to such speeches makes it clear that the main aim of many politicians is only to gain power. They appear to have little concern for public rights, social welfare, or the development of citizens. Criticism and opposition also have limits, and good language and respectful behaviour are very important in politics. Unfortunately, many politicians ignore all these principles and only speak for their own benefit. Their aggressive attitude and desire for superiority lower the standard of society. We seriously need to think about this.
Today our society is rapidly becoming polluted because of many problems, but we must not forget that the decline in political ethics has also badly affected society. In fact, supporters of political parties often become so emotional and fanatical that they create unrest and damage the social environment at any time. A recent example can be seen in West Bengal. Whatever has been happening on the roads and streets there cannot be considered right in any way. Winning and losing elections is normal in democracy, but creating unrest, spreading fear, and carrying out immoral activities after elections is completely wrong. Political morality demands that after winning an election, a political party should treat everyone equally, regardless of religion, caste, colour, or race, whether they voted for that party or not.
However, we are seeing the opposite situation today. Openly, it is being said that only those communities that voted for a particular party will receive benefits, while those who did not vote for it will be ignored. Just think about what kind of politics this is. In a democratic and secular country like India, such attitudes are not only being expressed openly but are also being proudly practiced. Now think further: will such behavior not create pollution in society? Certainly, it will. On one side, hatred against a particular community increase, while on the other side, the targeted community develops feelings of fear and inferiority. In this way, such political behavior pollutes society with hatred, violence, and tension. The effects of declining political morality on society are always disappointing and harmful. Therefore, society must be protected from this moral decline so that it does not move towards destruction.
The slogan of the present government, “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of all), is very attractive and impressive. However, its positive effects can only be seen when it is honestly implemented in practice and not used merely as an election slogan. Looking at the ground realities so far, it appears that the slogan was raised, but it was not followed in the true spirit in which it should have been.
The decline in political ethics can also be understood from the fact that the entire political landscape has changed. Earlier, politics included public service without discrimination, social welfare projects, sincere efforts for national development, and practical struggles for the progress of the country. Today, such ideas are rarely seen. Elections are now fought mainly in the name of religion and faith, while real plans for development and progress are often ignored. The entire nature of politics has changed. This attitude may benefit some individuals or parties, but overall, it is harmful to society.
We must understand that this country belongs to everyone, no matter which religion or community they belong to. Therefore, gaining political power by pushing one community to the margins weakens the democratic system of the country. At the same time, it should always be remembered that the beauty of India lies in equal and fair treatment for all sections of society. If we work with equality and justice, society will remain free from hatred and division. But whenever discrimination, double standards, or selective justice based on religion are practised, society naturally becomes polluted. Therefore, it is extremely important to protect society from such harmful behavior.
It should always be remembered that the conditions created by political pollution are not good for anyone. No political party should ever abandon moral values. History shows that whenever political groups ignored morality, society suffered from unrest and division. True and healthy politics can only exist when collective interests, national unity, and shared human values are promoted and protected. In this way, society can be saved from political pollution and its harmful effects.
