The picture of Delhi Violence has completely left us stunned and with broken hearts. It is not the picture of any movie to enjoy and feel pride in any acting roles. It is real, rather dismal and gloomy history of the Indian Capital. The killed and the killers, including Muslims and Hindus– all were of what we call the part of ‘human beings existing in the planet of the Earth’. Hence accepting that ‘forget everything and lead a refresh life of more powerful multiculturalism and peaceful pluralism than ever’ might be a difficult task ahead. But we are still alive to believe in the divine command, “Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (39:53)
This divinely revealed verse of the Quran significantly works to keep us positive in our self-introspection and then reformation. I am not addressing to those who do not take interest into heart-to-heart communication. The addressee meant here must enlighten their hearts with ray of hope to see across their country, happiness, prosperity and real achievement of their life.
To say the real achievement is the recognition of the relation between body (jism) and soul (ruh). But to feel it with the active heart, this is the real achievement pursued after the course of repeated practice of purification of heart against all sorts of corruption. We should not live here in the vague idea but be clear that the real achievement is the peace of heart and mind and this is what is achieved as a reward after good deeds. Another factor is of significance that if our ‘good deeds’ do not keep us at peace, we must recognize that it was not our ‘good deeds’. Then again we should start looking for what can really be ‘good deeds’. And finally we must get the spiritual lesson here that the violence can never be one of the ‘good deeds’ that we are trying to find out.
When the heart is purified, it successively starts recognizing the peace of soul that is good deeds, feeling peace and seeing peace around. Then the spiritual heart explores that violence can’t build peace and happiness even for the one who has committed it through the means of power. The more the victims lose in violence, the bigger unhappiness comes in the life of those who turn innocent humans into victims. The violence-players get overwhelmed by the disheartening ideas which hurt their own souls by striking them with the thought of repentance that they had taken the life of innocent civilians. If the violence-players refuse to repent, then they must have been on the path of Satanic ‘religion’.
Having observed the series of events following the results of CAA, NPR and NRC talks, protests, we the Indians including the government and the civilians must feel that we are now trapped in the state of worry about our power as well as our civilians. We as human beings have not yet developed any such humane power which can enable us to refrain from feeling the pain of those mothers, sisters, brothers and human beings who have lost their relatives in the wake of violent incident taking place in Delhi. If we are human beings, we can’t close our eyes that both Muslims and Hindus were unjustly and mercilessly killed in the event. The importance of one life is so much that if one fails to feel its importance, one will definitely not be able to feel pain for the loss of hundred lives. The spiritual lesson of humanity here is that the person who does not pay attention to importance of one life—the person whose heart does not feel pain for the loss of any human beings in the wake of unjust killing; it is this person who is the follower of the path of violence, that is, the path of Satan. He is not the follower of the path of God.
There is no criminal in this world who can hide his sins from the All-Knowing God Almighty. He can hide it from the people, from the media, from the worldly law, but not from the God Who has created him in the best of moulds (95:4) and counted those who do bad deeds among those who are “the lowest of the low” (95:5). Our violent players and false reporters are not living in the age of darkness where they can muster up strength of denying the fact that violence and unjust killing are extremely the acts that keep Satan happy and cause unhappiness to the Lord of the Universe. They can express their lies through their tongue but not through their heart. They must feel guilty in themselves that they have committed disorder in the land and thus they will have to be accountable to God Almighty for that.
But what is now for us to understand as a cause of restoration of real happiness and peace to our country India, especially to its capital Delhi? Who were the real criminals behind Delhi violence? Who were the civilians unjustly and mercilessly killed in the violence? Who were those who left both Hindu and Muslim families with broken hearts for their beloved relatives? Who were those oppressors and satanic devils who attacked over the dignity and ornaments of women during the violence? Who made these Delhities orphans, widows and helpless? Who are those hiding the real faces of criminals? The real question here should be; what is the religion of this violence? What is this ideology? We know this is not the path of any divinely-revealed religion. Then; is the act of violence the path of Satan or that of humans? Surrounded by such questions, can the violent players gain spiritual enlightenment to win the broken hearts or give them happiness? How long will we have to live in the restless condition? Ignoring such questions, we have failed to accept that we both the government as well as the citizens have lost our rest, peace and happiness. We can’t deny this fact those who are the killers of the innocent civilians can never enjoy the beauty of their life. The beauty of life is the gift of God Almighty that only His pious servants are familiar with, as those who are violent-players can never enjoy real beauty and happiness of life because they are walking on the path of Satan.
One individual can’t play sufficient role in preventing violence. It is a collective responsibility. All individuals need to play their role of curbing violence which is the path of Satan. We should not let it happen as the fight between RSS and Muslims, or fight between Hindus and Muslims. But rather each of us should resolve this problem by refraining from the path of violence and by adopting the path of peace and social brotherhood. If some of them hate us, then we should ask the reason of their hating us, rather than reacting to their hate with hate. We should know the reason and then work to remove their hate from their hearts. What are the ideologies that have still kept them hating us? And also how can we change our moral and spiritual attitudes to replace their hate by love? Many of us are not good servants of God Almighty and then we could not know how to become good fellows of human beings. We should check ourselves first whether we are good servants of God and good fellows of human beings or not. If not, then how can we become so?
It is the history of our numerous prophets (peace be upon them), from Hazrat Adam, Abraham, Hazrat Solomon, Hazrat Moses, Hazrat Jacob, Hazrat Joseph, Hazrat Jesus to Hazrat Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon all of them) that they did not fear the violent players, but rather they performed their duty of calling people from darkness and violence to the path of enlightenment and peace. If we are their real followers, we should then never support the violent-players. Instead we should follow the path of all these Prophets (peace be upon them) leading to the path of peace, that is the path leading to recognition of God Almighty.
Now after we have lost many fellow civilians in unjust killing in the wake of Delhi violence, we are completely left with broken-hearts which can’t muster up strength and courage to play the game of blaming each other and ignoring the real culprits. We should simply pay all our attention to our God Almighty, praying for safety, security, happiness and peace in our country, and the world at large. We must be sure in our prayer that God Almighty will definitely create sympathy in the hearts of violent players and restoration of the path of peace to their hearts too. And at all cost, we should always be on the beautiful path of God Almighty that leads to peace and real happiness, even if we die or be killed by the violent players who are nothing but the followers of Satan. We are sure to die one day, to be accountable to God Almighty, and hence we should die for respectful life which can be attained through good deeds and pure hearts free from hatred, evil attitudes, such as, corruption and cheating. Each of us should introspect that we can cheat the people but we can’t cheat the God Almighty Who is All-knowing and All-Aware of our doings and intentions.
