'This kind of behaviour cannot be and should not be tolerated from any minority'

New Age Islam keeps posting the views of so many sane Pakistanis that one sometimes starts wondering why should Pakistan be in the state it is in, the state that these sensible people are writing about, if so many of them are so wise and rational. Actually, the sane elements are a hopelessly small minority. This is what they keep bemoaning. The majoritarianism of the majority gets articulated in the country’s dominant Urdu media and thus remains hidden from the majority of readers of New Age Islam. Even in our Urdu section we try to project the saner viewpoints.

I came across today a quite honest, though you might like to call it shameless, exposition of the majoritarian hubris so rampant in Pakistan. This might make those Muslims who live as minorities in most parts of the world today feel a bit grateful that they are not living in a Muslim-majority country and thus cannot nurse such arrogance and stupidity. But, I know, this would also make many Muslims here in India regret their inability to be so conceited and idiotic.

Whatever your reaction, I would like to share this gem of a write-up with you. This was sent as a response to journalist Asif Daar’s latest Dateline London column in Jang: “Inteha pasand Muththi se bahar” (Extremists out of control). I am hoping that our Hindutva readers would skip this page lest they start getting ideas. -- Editor

It seems that these days there is no any other issue in Pakistan except issue of HRH Miss Ramsha masihi of Islamabad. Every other person from Washington DC to Islamabad is concerned of HRH. Although Interior Minister, President of Pakistan and all law enforcement forces are taking care of HRH. Foreign funded media and NGOs are trying to score their merit for it. But our dual Citizens are more concern of it to prove their masters of their sincerity.

 Sowing examples of 'sex grooming' matter or sexual abuse of a girl in London they want Pakistan to ignore HRH's matter but I don't see any connection in these matters. Those who are involved in above incident have no right of any consideration and rightly law is taking its course against them. I don't think any Pakistani has any concern about them. Beside it is inhuman act and further they have to respect and follow law of land. If they don't like their law they must leave their countries. In another murder case of their daughter, Pakistani family has been sentence for imprisonment and Court very rightly said that you peoples want to enjoy facility of England but want Rule of your village which is not possible.   If you think that Burning of Holy Book, Blasphemy of Allah SWT & His Prophet SAS and Contempt of Sacredness of above is same as killing of someone by some one other for one reason or the other then you must understand that it is not same. Muslims believe that protecting Honour of their Prophet is more important than their lives or anything. If the Christian girl is minor or mentally compromised then it is duty of her parent to watch her and refrain her to damage or destroy public life or property. This kind of behaviour cannot be and should not be tolerated from any minority. As a citizen of the country she is also daughter Pakistan but all others, they are also bond to follow Law of the land.
