There's a
rule (number 43, Chapter 7, para 3) in Sanskrit linguistics, known as, Uddharan
Nyaya Apratyksha Aabhaasam (Fallacy of
Indirectly Quoted Words) propounded by Panini in his Ashtadhyayi.
By the way, Panini was world's first linguist.
This
pertains to Peer Afzal Qadri of Pakistan declaring a bounty of five lakhs to
the Momin who'll kill the preacher Engineer Mohammad Ali Mirza for calling
Muhammad a 'Chhokra' (lad). But Engineer didn't directly refer to
Muhammad as a 'Chhokra'. He just quoted the Jews and polytheists of that
era calling Muhammad a 'Chhokra'.
One
wonders, where do these fanatics get money from when in Pakistan a dozen
bananas cost nearly 400 rupees in Indian currency?
Instead of
giving away five lakhs to the Ghazi/Momin who will kill the preacher for an
indirect term, cannot this big (at this moment) amount be donated to the poor
and needy people of Pakistan during the holy month of Ramzan?
These
religious idlers have so much time to waste over absolutely unnecessary issues
like who said what about Muhammad and his wives and concubines but are
oblivious of the dismal state of their country which's on the verge of a
complete collapse at any moment.
This is how
religion opiates brains and in the case of Islam, this opium works overtime.
Muslims,
esp. the Muslims of the sub-continent, must abnegate their obsession with
Muhammad. They must realize that Muhammad was a human, not a superhuman or
someone infallible.
In his
book, The Problem with Prophethood, German scholar, orientalist and polyglot
Theodor Noldeke, who found innumerable semantic errors in the Quran and called
it spurious like any other 'revealed' book, wrote that, " When we
erroneously believe that a god 'revealed' the 'relative' ( in the case of
Judaism and Christianity) and 'absolute' Truth ( as in Islam) through an
individual or a prophet in the Semitic context, the followers often start
deifying that man whom they call a prophet. All problems stem from
here....."
Islam
suffers from this cloying and excessive love for an individual despite claiming
that only Allah is to be worshipped and not his Rasool. One cannot but laugh.
Am I ridiculing Islam or any other man-made bogus faith?
