State-Sponsored Propaganda Literature

I call
George Orwell sort of a clairvoyant because he predicted long ago that in the
21st-century, State-sponsored propaganda literature would be a common
phenomenon. The French existentialist Albert Camus also prophesied that in the
next century (21st-century), states would systematically promote religions and
every State would pit its favoured religion against all other faiths.
The
prophecies of these great minds are getting crystallized into realities.
Poster boys
of Hindutva like Amish Tripathi, his elder sister, Sanjay Dixit of Jaipur
Dialogues, among others are being sponsored and promoted by the State to
glorify Sanatan Dharm. Amish and his la-di-da sister eulogised idol worship of
Hinduism a month ago and now this rabid Hindu zealot Sanjay Dixit's book 'All
Religions Are Not The Same' has hit the stands.
Agreed, all
religions are not the same and every religion is NEGATIVELY as well as
AGGRESSIVELY unique, pitting Hindu Dharm against all other faiths and looking
down upon them is not desirable either.
The
hardcore Hindu readers are of the view that Sanjay Dixit presents Hinduism and
Sanatana Dharma in its own right, not according to a monotheistic terminology
using inappropriate Abrahamic concepts. He shows how Sanatana Dharma forms a
complete system of universal knowledge, not requiring the approval of contrary
religions for it to be socially, scientifically or spiritually valid.
There's no
denying the fact that India is hurtling towards being called a Hindu Rashtra.
Soon it'll be officially called a Hindu Rashtra. If you watch Sanjay Dixit's
You tube channel 'Jaipur Dialogues', you'll be pissed off with this
man's condescending attitude towards all other faiths, particularly his
pontification of Islam. But he's extremely popular among Anburaj-type fanatic
Hindus.
Way back in
1978, a famous Pakistani-Parsi columnist Ardeshir Cowasjee of The Dawn wrote
that,
"When a religion is bandied about on all
platforms with the tacit or open consent of the State, all other developments
become subservient or unimportant to the glorification of religion."
Exactly the
same is happening at the moment. Developments in all other fields have come to
a standstill. Basic rights of the citizens are at stake. But religion is the
foremost objective of the government. Ardeshir Cowasjee further wrote in the
same write-up that Pakistan was digging its own grave by giving extra
importance to religion (read, Islam). See where Pakistan stands today. The same
dismal fate will sooner or later strike India if it chooses to turn a deaf ear
to the sane voices of reason and moderate religiosity.
