Lessons To Be Learnt From The Phenomenon Of Ex-Muslims

The write up on the phenomenon of
Ex-Muslims should
serve as an eye-opener to all practising Muslims and a fodder for thought for
all those facing the Hamletian dilemma of whether to leave Islam or not.
What was
unheard-of until 2000, is a reality in the new millennium. I've many ex-Muslim
and educated Muslim friends in all parts of the world.
Those who
left Islam are critical of its obscurantism and extreme intolerance. But even
those, who're still in the fold of Islam, have also begun to ask questions
regarding Islam's status as a 'revealed' faith and the authenticity as well as
divinity of Quranic verses. This is a good and encouraging development. In the
last two decades, Islam has witnessed extreme adherence and also complete
severance.
Islam's
hubristic claim as the only true faith is one more reason that has caused many
of its faithfuls to reanalyse and rinse Islam. When they delved into the
underbelly of Islam, they realized that many of its claims are either false or
ramshackle. So, they left the faith.
Islam's
claim as a religion of peace stands exposed. The violent ways of its followers
have made sane Muslims think anew and afresh. I'm not a proponent of Islam. I
abhor all religions equally. But as a student of comparative religions with a
focus on Islam, it's my SOS to the apologists, exegetes and scholars of Islam
that they must change their fixed ways and attitude to make Islam a much more
benign faith. For that, they must accept the fact that the Quran is man-written
because it's flawed and biased.
Stop
interpreting it further. You've been interpreting it for more than 1400 years and
also killing innocent people. So, stop this grandstanding and spreading a false
narrative. World has had enough of your religious hypocrisy. Remove all Hadees
(Muhammad's borrowed and spurious teachings) from the scheme of Islam.
They're the roots of all evils. Don't deify Muhammad as an unblemished human;
he wasn't. Avoid deification and stop condescending.
Muslims
should also purge their faith of all mullahs and Maulvis. They're termites. All
religions are equally good and bad, mostly bad, because all are man-made. Be
more flexible and listen to the voice of reason and sagacity.
Those
who've left Islam, must never opt for any other faith. Thank your stars that
sanity and realization dawned on you and you could relinquish your faith.
You're fortunate. All other faiths will be equally bad, nay, worse. Be a good
human sans any religion. If there's an entity called god up there, rest
assured, it has no religion. Nor does it want you to follow any damn faith.
