Nathuram Godse: Sapoot or Kapoot of India?

Union Minister Giriraj Singh thinks that
Nathuram Godse is Sapoot (worthy son) of the country! One shouldn't be
surprised as this ain't unexpected of the ministers of the current political
dispensation.
Giriraj says that the assassin of Gandhi ji
was not an invader like Babar and Aurangzeb as he was born in India! The
glorification of certain egregious characters in the recent times has reached
absurd proportions. People like Godse and Savarkar are being extolled. A
government-sponsored commissioned work (Vikram Sampath's " Savarkar:
Echoes from a Forgotten Past") on a British stooge Savarkar is being
promoted and his political thoughts are on the syllabi of a few varsities.

DU has elbowed out Dr Muhammad Iqbal's
political thoughts from its curriculum. In short, a false narrative is in
circulation.
This worthy Sapoot, Godse, urinated
and defecated in his prison uniform while being led to the gallows. Mind you,
he did defecate before hanging because hanged convicts often defecate when the
sudden jerk caused by hanging breaks the neck bone and impacts spinal cord.
That's why, hanging is such a crude, primitive and painful way of 'killing' a
wrongdoer. But that's for some other day.
This Sapoot already soiled his
pyjama at the chilling sight of the noose. Let me use a rather rustic local
phrase in Hindi. The 'worthy son of the country' who killed a frail old man of
peace was in a state of Aage Se Geeli, Peechhe Se Peeli when standing
and quivering on the scaffold at Ambala Central Jail on November 15, 1949.
'Veer' Savarkar sent 11 mercy petitions to
the Viceroy begging that he'd remain an unwaveringly loyal servant to the
British Raj and would even help the government by providing secret information
of the revolutionaries. He even got a regular pension for his 'services' to the
government. Now unfortunate students will get to read that quisling and Fifth
Columnist Savarkar's venomous political thoughts and his outbursts against the
Muslims! Jay Ho !
Some readers may say that I suffer from
Hindu-phobia and have begun to favour Muslims. Sorry, I bat for none. I condemn
everyone whenever an individual or a specific community does something
reprehensible.
It's time for the sane people to come
together and openly castigate people like Giriraj, Maharaj, Pandits and Babas
who're unofficial spokespersons of this regime which has done nothing except
for spreading the culture of hate and fake news, communal politics, political
showbiz, data manipulation, institutional atrophy, trolling and corruption.
