Recently, a
video of a woman in Bangalore (to hell with, Bengaluru) asking a bus conductor
to remove his skull cap has gone viral on social media, sparking a debate on
religious freedom. The video was shared by several users on Twitter, and has
garnered a million views. The woman who shot the video is heard asking the
conductor if his skull cap is a part of his government uniform. To this, the
man says he has been wearing it for several years and that one can wear it if
they wish to do so.
Things are
getting too bad for the minorities. Had the conductor been a turbaned Sikh,
would she have dared ask him to remove his Pagdi? He'd slit her throat with his
Kirpan (dagger). But now, Muslims are sitting ducks in a majority Hindu
country. When Hindu women can wear a Mangalsutra and men can flaunt tilak, will
this fanatic woman ask them to remove all these ostentatious religious totems
and symbols? So, why only Muslims are being targeted for wearing a skull cap or
hijab? This is blatant discrimination with a bias attitude. But the Hindus are
silent because it's in their favour. Gloating over the plight and misfortune of
Muslims is now the country's favourite pastime. Hindus are drawing a kind of a
sadistic kick out of the humiliation of Muslims.
Every day,
you get meaningless WhatsApp posts lambasting Muslims. All types of Hindus have
joined this smear campaign. 'Preachers' are abusing Muslims and calling
themselves Sanatanis! Even a famous adage like all is fair in love and war is
being translated as Muhabbat Aur Jang
Mein Sab Jaayaz Hai and one brainless Hindu preacher is of the opinion that
this is a Muslim maxim because of Urdu words! Foolishness of the highest level!
How can an adage be limited to a particular community or faith? This is
originally a Greek aphorism that travelled to England and English as Greece and
England are neighbouring countries and further journeyed into so many languages
of so many countries. But who will make these morons see sense?
I dare say,
the manifestation of the Persian saying Tang
Aamad Ba' Jang Aamad (forced into confinement, retaliation is the only
solution) is on the cards if this continues unabated. The problem with the
(sane) Hindus at the moment is that they all seem to have chosen to turn a
Nelson's eye to the rabid hate-mongering of their imbecile brethren. They're
also integral to this organized crime. This doesn't portend well.
