Stop Denigrating Homosexuals and Transgenders

Muslims
denigrating those Muslims who've a homosexual orientation and are transgenders
is sheer ignorance and lack of education. Comparing homosexuality to
paedophilia is even greater stupidity. They should know that while the former
is just a genetic sexual orientation, the latter is an outright vice and an
unmitigated criminal offence. Paedophiles are sexual predators. But homosexuals
are not a threat to society. Homosexuality or lesbianism is not a sexual
disorder or neurosis. It's an ingrained alternative (sexual) choice some are
born with. Homosexuals and transgenders have no control over their psycho-physical
sexual orientations. They've been made like that by nature or freak genetic
mutations.
That said,
homophobia is not just limited to the Muslim society. Followers of all faiths
have a 'queer' (pun intended) attitude towards homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals
and transgenders. While Hindus were pretty cool about homosexuality till the
10th century and the early Zoroastrians accepted it without much fuss, things
slowly began to change with the advent of Semitic morality. I don't want to
repeat the same things. But it must be mentioned that the general attitude
towards these 'special people' is still not very welcoming. They're pariah and
social outlaws.
C G Jung,
he had queer leanings, wrote a long essay, Understanding Homosexuality. He
opined that humans were predominantly made heterosexuals for the purpose and
perpetuation of progeny. Since heterosexuals always outnumbered homosexuals and
the early humans had been seeing only the straights, those with a different
sexual choice and proclivity got snowed under the avalanche of heterosexuals,
leading our ancestors to believe that only heterosexuality was natural and
homosexuality was unnatural. Alfred Russel Wallace's ' Factor of overwhelming
majority, ' explains how majoritarian heterosexuals almost decimated
homosexuals over a period of time. It's worthwhile to mention that Wallace
independently conceived the theory of evolution through natural selection. His
name is bracketed with Charles Darwin for the Theory of Evolution.
Homosexuals
suffered an evolutionary setback even in the prehistoric and pre-religion era
and when religions came into existence, they simply tried to wipe out those
with same-sex inclinations because of their homophobic god's perceived
atavistic hatred for the queers. It's, therefore, time for all of us to treat
the homosexuals, queers, gays, bi and transgenders as humans and stop looking
at them through the prism of religions and existing social mores and morality.
We've had enough of religion-induced fake morality that professes hatred and
discrimination among humans.
