Erdogan’s Eid Prayer In Mecca: Khashoggi Bargain, “The
Prayer Will Be One Of The Turning Points Of The New World Order”
The news that the King of
Saudi Arabia Salman invited President Erdogan to the Eid Prayer in Mecca, right
after the government handed over the Khashoggi murder case in Turkey to Saudi
Arabia, strengthens the claims of bargaining behind closed doors.
----
Murat Yetkin
8 APRIL 2022
On April 7 evening, pro-government media was in a
celebratory mood. It was not because the inflation had fallen or Turkish Lira
has started to gain value against foreign currencies. It was not the case that
the price hikes for electricity and natural gas was reverted. They were excited
because a Lebanese newspaper published a story citing Saudi sources that King
Salman invited President Tayyip Erdogan to perform Eid Prayer together in
Mecca.
One of my sources, a business person severely affected
by the economic crisis but never give up defending Erdogan, wrote to me
following comment:
“Tayyip Bey achieved a conjunctural psychological advantage
against the West, including the USA. The theological meaning in the Islamic
world of being invited to pray in Mecca at the invitation of King Salman means
that the leadership of the community will be ‘given’ to Turkey through Mr.
Tayyip. Except for the opposition in Turkey, the entire Islamic and Christian
world, including the Pope, will understand this and ‘that Prayer’ will be one
of the turning points of the new world order.”
I asked him if he paid any attention to the fact that
the news broke out after the Jamal Khashoggi case was handed over to Saudi
Arabia. He wrote “I decline any comment with a smile”. The news of prayer in
Mecca had not even been confirmed yet then. That’s the general mood.
Dissident Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi entered the
Saudi Arabian Consulate General in Istanbul to obtain a visa on October 2, 2018
and was never seen again. It is assumed that a team from Saudi Arabia,
including Saudi Intelligence officials, killed Khashoggi while interrogating
him and dismembered his lifeless body and then disposed of it; body parts have
still not been found.
If the Turkish Intelligence Office MIT had not
convinced the American intelligence, the CIA, and later the US administration
(by Hakan Fidan who went there in person and make American officials listen to
the secret recording by himself) that this was a Saudi murder, Turkey would
have been to blame. Donald Trump, who made the biggest arms sale in history
($110 billion) to Saudi Arabia, despite President Erdogan’s accusation of murderer
by saying “Do they think that we are fools,” draw the curtain over the crime.
One of the first things Joe Biden did after he moved into the White House was
to reveal classified documents, confirming that the murder was committed with
the knowledge of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
What has changed so that this week the case file is
transferred to the administration who is accused of being responsible for the
murder itself?
My source, who sincerely believes that the Saudi King
will de facto hand over the leadership of the Islamic world to Erdoğan by
praying with him in Mecca, answered my question about the Khashoggi case as
follows:
I knew that my source had contacts at critical points
of the AKP government. When I asked for details in the past, I got the answer
“I can’t tell”; so I didn’t need to insist. He said “even his AKP friend Yasin
Aktay, who announced the Khashoggi murder to the world, said, Maybe there are
things I don’t know too”. Probably no one would say that it has just been
surfaced that Khashoggi is also the chief of open operations of Turki bin
Faisal al Saud, the former intelligence chief who opposes the Crown Prince.
In other words, was the İstanbul court’s decision to
suspend the case in which 26 defendants were accused of participating in the
murder committed on Turkish soil, after asking the opinion of Minister of
Justice Bekir Bozdag, and to hand the case over the file to the Saudi
authorities, was the result of negotiations carried out behind closed doors?
If so, did these negotiations have an angle of
economic benefit as well as a political one? Just in the midst of the economic
crisis, on the way to the elections…
My source also has a thesis on this subject, I quote:
“If Mr. Tayyip gets enough support from both the West and the East, and
especially from the Islamic world, which I think he did, he will immediately
translate it to domestic politics. The monetary expansions that will be created
by foreign support have a very high potential to get the economy out of the
bottleneck. “
While the cost of living is wreaking havoc on the
low-income and those with financial difficulties, the belief that Erdogan will
fix the economy with the money he will find from the outside world, and thus
win the election in 13 months, is dominant within AKP circles.
This framework includes efforts to reconcile with the
United Arab Emirates and Israel. If the US has approached Turkey again, it is
not only because of Ukrainian politics, but also because of these maneuvers.
But back to our question: Will the relations with
Saudi Arabia, which have hit rock bottom for a while, be fixed through
negotiations over the Khashoggi murder case?
Is it up to the King of Saudi Arabia, one of the
darkest regimes in the world, to give the ratification of the elected President
of Turkey for the leadership of the Islamic world through the Eid Prayer in
Mecca? And which Islamic world? We are talking about a geography that spreads
from Morocco to Iran, from Egypt to Indonesia and cannot act together on any
issue.

UN Assistant Mission in Afghanistan Concerned by
Threats and Restrictions against Afghan Media
Humanitarian donors urged to

By Najibullah Lalzoy
10 Apr 2022
United Nations Assistant Mission in Afghanistan in a
press release said that UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for
Afghanistan Deborah Lyons called on acting Minister of Information and Culture
of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Khairullah Khairkhwa and discussed the
closure of girls’ schools and restrictions on media outlets in Afghanistan.
During the meeting that was arranged at the Ministry
on Saturday, April 9, 2022, the UN envoy Deborah Lyons urged immediate steps
for all girls to return to schools.
The special representative also called on the acting
Minister Khairullah Khairkhwa to engage Journalists in a constructive dialogue.
The concerns about schools’ closure and media
restrictions come as the two sectors have been hit hard by the policies of the
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
Secondary schools for girls are ordered to remain
closed until further notice whereas Afghan media outlets and journalists are
suffering from financial woes and repressive restrictions on transmission.
If not addressed, the rest of the media outlets will
collapse in a matter of a few months.

Imran Khan Says He Wants To Make Pakistan Islamic

APRIL 10, 2022
Prime Minister Imran Khan Saturday said his objective
was to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state on the model of Riyasat e Madina.
Speaking at the fund raiser for Shaukat Khanum
hospital here, he said the best welfare states were the Scandinavian states which
were now prosperous and peaceful because of the policies for the benefit of
humanity.
He said cancer was a different disease due to two
reasons; one was that patient of the cancer had fear of death and other was
that the treatment of cancer was expensive.
Imran Khan said more hospitals were needed in Pakistan
to treat patients of cancer. “About 40 years back, I thought of establishing
the cancer hospital and despite difficulties accomplished the task.” He said
now if cancer was detected early, the disease could be treated. He appreciated
Pakistani nation for coming together to build and run the Shaukat Khanum
hospital.
He said Pakistani nation was ahead of other nations
when it came to giving charity. It was mandatory for the Muslims to give Zakat
and the practice gave an opportunity to help poor people, he noted.
He said Pakistani nation had given Rs 63 billion as
charity for treatment of cancer patients in the Shaukat Khanum hospital. “We
will fulfill our promise to the nation that 70 percent of the patients in the
hospital will be treated freely.”
The Prime Minister said cancer of many patients was
treatable but they could not be treated at the cancer hospital because of lack
of space. He said his government introduced health insurance and now every family
could avail health facility of Rs one million every year. Under the health
insurance programme, the family members could get treatment from any hospital
including private hospitals.

By Mallikarjun Hiremath
DHARWAD: Tension prevailed on Saturday evening at
Nuggekeri Hanuman temple in Dharwad after members of right-wing members and
pro-Hindu organisations destroyed the watermelons belonging to the Muslim
community seller. As many as four such pushcarts were destroyed.
The members who arrived shouting slogans started to
throw the fruits and other items from the pushcarts belonging to the Muslim
community. The tense situation gripped as both the community members get into
heated arguments and later the intervention of the police controlled the
happenings. However, police troops have camped on the temple premises.
The pro-Hindu activists alleged that they have given
the memorandum to the temple authorities around fifteen days back seeking not
to permit other religious people for doing business and the same was also
convinced to the people involved in the business at the temple premises. But
people doing business have ignored the requests and finally, they have to face
the heat.
A trader named Nabisab, hailing from Muslim community,
said from the last 15 years he is in the same business and there were no issues
with Hindu brothers but the sudden change by a few members has made him to
worry.
"The temple authorities or anybody haven't
instructed us to vacant the place. We have faced a loss of thousands of rupees
and who is responsible. A police constable was on the spot but he was helpless
as the group of people were doing ruckus,” he added.
The senior administrator at the temple said they were
not aware of the issue and now the meeting is being held to know what has
happened.
A senior police officer said the meeting is will be
held with temple authorities and after a detailed investigation the further
course of action will be decided.

Western Islamists Angry at Turkish Outreach to Israel
by Sam Westrop
April 8, 2022
The Islamist-run Turkish government is often heralded,
within Islamist circles in both the West and across the globe, as a leading
voice for the Muslim world. In the U.S, Kyle Shideler has noted, Islamist
groups in particular have certainly been quick to accept the regime's patronage
and directives. And indeed, Turkey's efforts to advance its influence through
Islamist proxies and front groups in the West have been extensively documented.
However, there are signs among Western Islamists that
such admiration is beginning to fade, with some turning against its would-be
caliph, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The most recent appearance of dissent
has accompanied the decision the Turkish president to pursue détente with Israel,
with Isaac Herzog being the first Israeli President to visit Turkey since 2007.

I Am Not A Muslim But Here Is Why I Fast During
Ramadan - Scottish Adventurer
By Alice Morrison
10th April 2022
The smell of the soup wafts enticingly over but my
mouth is too dry to water. The seconds tick past loudly. Then, the call to
prayer rings out, ‘Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar – God is the most Great’. We all
say, ‘In the name of God’ and reach for a date. I hear the blissful sound of
water being poured. It is break-fast at Ramadan and I am sharing it with my
neighbours.
I am a Scottish adventurer and came to Morocco to run
the toughest foot race on earth, the infamous Marathon des Sables. I liked it
so much I stayed. Eight years on I live in a compound in Imlil, high in the
Atlas Mountains. There are four families housing about 25 people from the
patriarch, the great-grandfather who is in his 90s, down to Khadija who is
nearly five. Our houses are built into the rock of the mountains and from my
terrace I can gaze on the soaring snow-covered peaks of the Atlas. The family
cow and her new born calf live under my bedroom and the noisy, busy chickens
cluck beneath the sitting room.

Kids are balancing fasting and school during Ramadan.
How to support them
By AP MCCLATCHY
April 9, 2022
Muslim children typically aren’t expected to fast
during Ramadan until they reach puberty. But often kids will want to start
earlier because they see everyone else abstaining from food and water from
sunrise to sunset — followed by their community gathering to break their fast
together — and they want to participate.
“I really wanted to get in on the fun,” said Raahim
Sattar, who started fasting when he was around 7. He’s an 18-year-old Danville
native currently learning Arabic at the Qalam seminary in Dallas. He has older
twin brothers — and a competitive streak: “I was like, hey, maybe I can do it
better than them.”
