6 Oct 2024
Iran's "execution list" has been widely shared on social media for the past few days. Sharing the list, many claimed on social media the "Iranian Government has produced an assassination list of top targets within Israel!!" The viral "hit list" showed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the top of the chart.
The list names several prominent Israeli figures – including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, and the commanders of Israel’s Army, Navy, and Air Force. Mint could not verify the authenticity of the viral picture of Iran's "hit list".
Q. Why are makhanas considered a superfood?
A. Nutrient rich
B. High fibre
C. Anti-inflammatory
D. All of the above
The purported "Execution list of Israeli terrorists" include these names:
1. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
2. Minister of DefenseYoav Gallant
3. Chief of the General Staff HerziHalevi
4. Commander of the Israeli Air Force Tomer Bar
5. Head of Northern Command Ori Gordin
6. Commander of the Israeli Navy Saar Salama
7. Deputy Chief of the General Staff Amir Baram
8. Head of Central Command Yehuda Fox
9. Chief of Ground Forces TamirYadai
10. Head of Military Intelligence AharonHaliva
11. Head of Southern Command Eliezer Toledano
The list was widely shared on October 2.
Israel is currently engaged in a "multi-front war" with Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Iran backs both Hamas and Hezbollah. The war with the Palestinian militant group Hamas started in October when the group launched surprise attacks in parts of Israel.
Iranian-backed Hezbollah, the strongest armed force in Lebanon, began firing rockets into Israel almost immediately after Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack, calling it a show of support for the Palestinians. Hezbollah and Israel's military have traded fire almost daily.
Last week, Israel launched what it called a limited ground operation into southern Lebanon after a series of attacks killed longtime Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and others. The fighting is the worst since Israel and Hezbollah fought a brief war in 2006. Nine Israeli soldiers have been killed in the ground clashes that Israel says have killed 440 Hezbollah fighters.
The Israeli military said special forces were carrying out ground raids against Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon. On Saturday evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said “Israel has the duty and the right to defend itself and respond to these attacks, and it will do so.” On Lebanon, he said ”we are not done yet."

06-10-2024
Dhaka: Days after reports of protest by majority community against Hindus celebrating Durga Puja in Bangladesh surfaced, the Bangladesh Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman has assured them safety and peaceful celebrations.
Notably, the Hindu community has been under attacks since August 5 following the ouster of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina after student protests turned violent.
His assurance came while he was visiting Dhakeshwari Temple in Dhaka to assess the security measures taken in view of Durga Puja celebrations. The Army chief also extended greetings to all Hindus on the occasion of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of Bangladeshi Hindus.
He also engaged in discussions with key stakeholders, including the Metropolitan Puja Committee and the President of Bangladesh Puja Celebration Parishad.
"According to the instructions of the interim government, the Bangladesh Army has taken appropriate measures to ensure the safety of all during the celebration of the Durga Puja, the festival of Hindus, by keeping the law and order situation under control," news agency ANI quoted General Waqar-uz-Zaman as saying.
He asserted that every Bangladeshi belonging to the Hindu religion would celebrate SharidiyaDurgotsav with a festive fervour and great enthusiasm.
Durga Puja is all set to be celebrated from October 9 to 13. The celebrations will be held in 32,666 pavilions of Bangladesh , police said.
Meanwhile, the neighbouring country witnessed a massive rally on Friday by the Hindu community, who hit Dhaka streets to protest against the atrocities and persecution they are subjected to by the hands of extremist elements, demanding protection and justice.
As per reports, thousands of Hindus from across the country converged at the historic Central Shahid Minar in Dhaka under the umbrella of the Combined Minority Alliance, urging the Muhammad Yunus-led government to accept their eight-point demand to ensure the safety and well-being of minority communities.

Judicial Commission Demanded On Umerkot Blasphemy Suspect’s Custodial Killing
The Women’s Action Forum (WAF) has expressed its serious concern over unbridled influence and activities of religious extremists in Sindh
------
October 6, 2024
UMERKOT: The Women’s Action Forum (WAF) has expressed its serious concern over unbridled influence and activities of religious extremists in Sindh and the provincial government’s helplessness in containing the volatile situation.
In a press release issued here on Saturday, the forum demanded immediate imposition of Section 144 in Umerkot where, it observed, extremist groups were constantly delivering hate speeches against minorities, besides issuing death threats to journalists, civil society activists and other people who were raising their voice against the recent extrajudicial killing of Dr Shah Nawaz Kunbhar, a blasphemy suspect.
The WAF believed that Dr Kunbhar was falsely accused of blasphemy, and condemned that he was arrested amid a violent reaction in Umerkot from extremist elements over his supposed social media posts and then shot dead by police in Mirpurkhas in a staged encounter.
The forum noted that Dr Kunbhar’s family had lodged an FIR against those policemen who committed the extrajudicial killing, along with the Mirpurkhas DIG and SSPs of Umerkot. It demanded action against all these suspects according to law for being responsible for the custodial killing.
The forum also demanded appropriate action against a cleric, nominated in the FIR for placing a bounty on Dr Kunbhar’s head, as well as all those involved in the burning of the doctor’s body before its burial.
The WAF pointed out that following the extremists’ reaction, staged encounter and burning of the doctor’s body, leaders and activists of various Sindh-based progressive and human rights organisations kept visiting bereaved family’s village to express their solidarity with the heirs. However, it condemned, extremist elements resorted to issuing death threats to sympathisers of the family, particularly targeting those who were raising their voice against the custodial murder and desecration of Dr Kunbhar’s body.
It noted that the situation had created communal tension in Umerkot and Mirpurkhas districts but the provincial government and police failed to check extremists’ activities and apprehend the suspects named in the bereaved family’s FIR.
The forum claimed that Sindh government’s inaction emboldened extremist groups which held rallies, press conferences and public gatherings in Umerkot and their leaders delivered hate speeches, specifically targeting the local Hindu community. “Threats were issued to seize their businesses and properties,” it further claimed.
The forum cautioned: “In such a volatile environment, permitting any gathering of extremists may further endanger local communities, particularly minorities”.
In order to prevent further unrest, the Sindh government should immediately impose Section 144 in Umerkot and Mirpurkhas; ensure arrest of all those named in the FIR of Dr Kunbhar’s murder; set up a judicial commission comprising high court judges on the entire episode; ensure security of Dr Kunbhar’s family members, human rights workers and journalists; and take legal action against those who made hate speeches and displayed sophisticated weapons at extremists’ rally in Umerkot.

Moon-Venus conjunction visible in northern Saudi Arabia
The phenomenon occurred in the sky after sunset over the Northern Border region and was visible to the naked eye. (SPA)
-----
Arab News
October 06, 2024
RAFHA: A spectacular celestial event occurred over Saudi Arabia’s northern skies on Saturday night, with the moon and Venus in conjunction, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.
Known as a conjunction, the phenomenon in the sky after sunset in the Northern Border region was visible to the naked eye, with the moon and the planet separated by just three degrees.
A conjunction occurs when two celestial objects appear close to each other in the sky and share the same celestial longitude, according to astronomer Berjis Al-Fulaih.
Al-Fulaih, an official with the AFAQ Society for Astronomy in Taif, noted that Venus is often referred to as the “Evening Star” or the “Morning Star,” depending on its position in the west or east.
In an interview with SPA before the celestial event, Jeddah Astronomy Society chief Majed Abu Zahra said the appearance of the crescent moon and Venus together shortly after sunset, before the sky darkened fully, created the spectacular view.
A faint glow, caused by sunlight reflecting off Earth (known as Earthshine), will softly illuminate the unlit part of the moon’s disk, he explained.
Abu Zahra said there will be another astronomical event in mid-October: the arrival of Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, which will appear 20 to 25 degrees northwest of Venus on Oct. 13 and 14. The comet may even be visible to the naked eye, although comets are notoriously unpredictable.
By Oct. 25, Venus will appear three degrees north of the star Antares. Toward the end of the month, Venus will draw closer to Earth, with its disk measuring 14 arcseconds and being 77 percent illuminated, Abu Zahra told SPA.

Middle East Tensions: Hezbollah Heir, Hashem Safieddine,'Untraceable' After Israeli Strikes In Beirut; Gaza's Al-Aqsa Mosque Bombed
6 October 2024
As Israel continues its raids and bomings in Lebanon, the attacks across the Palestinian territories of Gaza Strip and West Bank have also intensified.
The Israeli Military, on Saturday, bombed a mosque in Gaza after alleging that it was being used as a "Hamas command centre". The attack on the mosque has killed at least 18 people.
The potential successor of Hezbollah - Hashem Safieddine - has been out of contact since Friday after an Israeli airstrike in Beirut. As per a Reuters report, Lebanese security officials and Hezbollah members have confirmed that Nasrallah's successor has been untraceable since an Israeli strike targeted the underground bunker of the senior leader.
The strikes against the Hezbollah leader were launched on Thursday night by the Israeli military. While the Israeli military has not stated that it was targeting the next Chief, it did confirm that it targeted Hezbollah's intelligence headquarters.
If Safieddine is also confirmed dead, it will come as another blow to Hezbollah and Iran, especially after the killing of Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in an air attack on September 27.
Israel has continued to strike Lebanon and alleged Hezbollah sites in response to the recent escalations. The Israeli militart has stated that it will continue its strikes on Lebanon and has vowed to give "no respite to Hezbollah".
"We must continue exerting pressure on Hezbollah and creating additional and lasting damage to the enemy. Without relief and without allowing a respite for the organisation," said Lt Gen HerziHalevi, Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces.

The ‘Axis of Resistance’: Iran’s forward defence network
October 06, 2024
The 1979 Iranian revolution, which saw the fall of a thousands-of-years-old monarchy and spawned the birth of a theocratic republic, was one of the most consequential events of post-World War West Asia. Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, the last king of Iran, was a close ally of the U.S. and Israel. In 1953, the U.S. helped orchestrate a violent coup in Iran against Mohammad Mosaddegh, an elected Prime Minister, and reinstated the authority of the Shah. The monarch was largely seen as a pawn of the U.S. by the revolutionaries. Anti-imperialism was one of the ideological forces behind the revolution. The theocratic regime, established by Ayatollah Khomeini, broke with the U.S., “the great Satan”, and the existing order of the day in West Asia.
Then the Islamic Republic was instantly seen as an enemy by Sunni Arab states and the U.S. Within a year, when the Ayatollah was still consolidating his authority in Iran, neighbouring Iraq, backed by Sunni Arab monarchies and the U.S., attacked Iran. Isolated, attacked and lacking conventional capabilities to face the growing geopolitical challenges around it, Iran turned to a new model of deterrence — forward defence or build the formation of a network of militias across the region through which it can project its influence. This is how the so-called Axis of Resistance was born.

Iran missile complexes, airbases: Israel's likely retaliation targets
By: Prateek Chakraborty
Oct 5, 2024
The Middle East stands on the brink of a dangerous escalation as Israel prepares to retaliate following a devastating missile strike launched by Iran. With tensions soaring, Israel is now weighing a decisive military response that could target Iran’s most crucial military infrastructure, setting the stage for a high-stakes confrontation.
As both nations brace for further conflict, the looming question remains: What will Israel’s targets be, and how will it defend itself against Iran’s formidable military assets?
In the event of Israeli retaliation, the first and foremost targets are expected to be Iran’s missile facilities and airbases, sources told India Today TV, adding that the underground missile complex near Khorramabad, where ballistic missiles are stored and launched, could be at the top of the list.
The strategic location of the missile base, with its proximity to both Tel Aviv and the Iraqi border, makes it a critical node in Iran’s missile network. Israel would aim to neutralise these underground silos to weaken Iran’s offensive capabilities.

Middle East crisis highlights: Israel military official says ‘preparing response’ to Iran attack
October 05, 2024
Israel was preparing a military response to Iran’s missile attack this week that heightened fears of a wider regional war, an Israeli official said Saturday (October 5, 2024), as fighting raged in Lebanon and Gaza.
Hezbollah said today its fighters were confronting Israeli troops in Lebanon’s southern border region, where the Israeli military said it struck militants inside a mosque in Bint Jbeil, a focus of this week’s fighting.
Iran’s oil minister Mohsen Paknejad said on Saturday that he was “not worried” about the escalating conflict in the region amid reports that Israel would strike Iran, the Ministry’s Shana news site said. Mr. Paknejad’s comments were made during a visit to Assaluyeh, the energy capital of Iran.

Israel Iran conflict highlights: Israel on alert ahead of Hamas attack anniversary
Oct 6, 2024
Israel Iran conflict highlights: Blasts were heard in the southern suburbs of Beirut following three evacuation warnings issued by Israel early on Saturday morning. The Israeli offensive on Lebanon continues after strikes on Friday damaged the Masnaa Border Crossing, preventing Lebanese refugees from fleeing to Syria. The Hezbollah also shelled Israeli forces on Friday during a ground incursion in Lebanon as they continue to make headway into the country. The IDF claimed 250 Hezbollah operatives had been killed since they began their ground operations earlier this week.
A The Salah Ghandour Hospital in the city of Bint Jbeil was also bombed by Israel on Friday, with several members injured, highlighting the medical crisis in Lebanon, where many primary health care centres have been damaged by strikes or shut down.

CPIM-led Left Front holds protest condemning attacks on Minorities in Bangladesh
October 5, 2024
Agartala, 5th October 2024: In a powerful demonstration against the recent attacks on minorities in Bangladesh, a street meeting was held in Tripura’s capital, Agartala, at the Orient Choumhani area on Saturday. The event followed a protest march organized by the Tripura Left Front Committee. The protest aimed to raise awareness about the increasing violence against minorities in Bangladesh and to call for urgent action from the neighboring country’s interim government.
Former Tripura Chief Minister and Politburo member of the Left Front, Manik Sarkar, addressed the gathering and delivered a strong message on the state of democracy, linking it directly to the treatment of minorities. “The criterion to understand whether there is democracy in a country or state is whether the minority people of that country can enjoy equal rights with the majority and practice their religion freely,” Sarkar said, drawing attention to the crucial role of minority rights in any functioning democracy.
Sarkar further emphasized that democracy falters when minorities are deprived of their basic rights. “If the minorities cannot lead a smooth and peaceful life, democracy does not function properly in that country or state,” he added. The Left Front, in unison with Sarkar’s statements, strongly condemned the recent violent incidents in Bangladesh targeting its minority communities.
The protest also voiced a direct demand to the Bangladesh Interim Government, urging them to take immediate steps to ensure the safety and security of the minority groups. “We demand that the interim government of Bangladesh provide adequate protection to its minority citizens so that they can live with the same dignity and rights as the majority population,” Sarkar asserted, calling for swift action to restore peace and equality.
The protest saw participation from various members of the Left Front, activists, and concerned citizens, who united under a common cause to stand against religious persecution and uphold democratic values across borders.

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers defied the Punjab government’s protective measures on Saturday, enduring heavy tear gas and baton charges to gather at Minar-i-Pakistan in a show of strength.
The demonstrators, chanting slogans, had responded to a call from party founder Imran Khan, assembling to celebrate his birthday and pass the “Haqeeqi Azadi” (Real Freedom) resolution at the historic site where the Pakistan Resolution was passed in 1940.
Despite the imposition of Section 144 in Lahore and four other cities, banning all political gatherings, PTI supporters turned out in large numbers. The government had also deployed Rangers in Lahore, setting up roadblocks with containers and putting police and paramilitary forces on high alert.
The Punjab government, acting on the recommendations of the Standing Committee of Cabinet on Law and Order, had also requested army troops to maintain order. However, the Home Department clarified that these deployments were primarily for the security of heads of state attending the two-day Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Islamabad. “The army troops will be deployed as per requirement in Rawalpindi and Attock,” a Home Department spokesperson said.
In response to the heavy security measures, the PTI leadership earlier announced that there was a surprise in store. On Saturday, PTI workers across Lahore and neighbouring districts waited until the evening before launching a coordinated march towards Minar-i-Pakistan.

PTI to continue protest unless Imran pulls workers back
Ikram Junaidi
October 6, 2024
ISLAMABAD: As a large number of protesters managed to reach Islamabad, the PTI has decided to continue its protest until getting a directive from the party’s founding chairman Imran Khan to pull back workers.
However, a decision by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to leave party workers in Islamabad and move to KP House surprised many.
PTI’s political committee while criticising the disappearance of the chief minister, has warned that there will be ‘serious repercussions’ if Mr Gandapur was arrested.
However, the committee also decided that in case of KP CM’s arrest, Azam Swati would lead the protest and in case of his (Mr Sawati’s) arrest a new name would be announced to lead the protesting workers.

Why Austria's election outcome is bad for Muslims, and what happens next
Hamzah Rifaat
06-10-2024
Europe continues to trend right following the recent victory of the Freedom Party or the FPO in Austria. The party, which won nearly 30 percent of last's week vote, has Nazi roots and its leaders espouse anti-Muslim, anti-immigration, racist views.
Domestically, FPO's leadership in government threatens to upend multiculturalism in the country. On the foreign policy front, officials are likely to further fracture European Union unity on issues such as Israel, with FPO expressing unwavering support for the country as it commits crimes against humanity.
In a post on X, France's far-right National Rally (RN) head Marine Le Pen said, "After the Italian, Dutch and French elections, this tidal wave which supports the defence of national interests, the safeguarding of identities and the resurrection of sovereignties, confirms the triumph of the people everywhere."
At home, the FPO's win marks a problem for local Muslims, who constitute less than 10 percent of the population. For them, years of systemic discrimination in employment, Austrian society and politics are likely about to get worse.
Anti-Muslim sentiments in Austria predate the rise of the FPO in Austrian politics. The diverse community of Turks, Moroccans and Bosniaks have endured years of government-sanctioned demonisation policies and legislation that is overtly discriminatory and regressive in nature.
Take the FPO's predecessor, the Austrian People's Party, as an example. Led by Sebastian Kurz who is unabashedly Islamophobic, the OVP in 2015 abolished Austria's Islam Act of 1912 which had granted official recognition to the religion.

‘The mosque was closed but the nightclub opened its doors’: bombed-out families find shelter in Beirut venue
Ruth Michaelson
6 October 2024
Inside the cavernous black walls of Beirut’s most exclusive after-hours club, two people are asleep on sofas tucked under the DJ booth. Beds fill the section normally used for bottle service, and piles of blankets are piled high on tables around the dancefloor.
Outside the guest entrance to the hulking venue is a family who fled rural southern Lebanon camps. Now their goat is chewing leaves from a tree branch that supports a washing line and a makeshift kitchen.
Ali Ahmed sits outside the backstage entrance with 11 members of his family, smiling when he talks about the warm welcome they received at Beirut’s best-known nightclub, one he’d only ever heard about before on local television.
His expression grows darker when he describes fleeing Beirut’s southern suburbs last week amid a fierce Israeli bombing campaign. The family slept in the open in the capital’s Martyr’s Square, he says, describing their first night in the shadow of the imposing cobalt blue domes of the Mohammed al-Amin mosque.
Ahmed considers his family lucky – not only were they able to claim a spot in the club’s VIP area but staying at the nightclub has meant food delivery, clean bathrooms and privacy that those in many of Lebanon’s makeshift shelters lack.
Some 400 people displaced by Israeli bombardments across southern Lebanon and the Dahiyeh suburb of Beirut are currently sheltering inside Skybar, which until recently welcomed guests to sip champagne on the top floor with a view of the Mediterranean and then party until the early hours in the Skin club below.
The families sleeping on the black-and-white floor of the club entrance, around the mirrored bars and beneath the plush black upholstered balconies of the nightclub are just some of the 1.2 million people now displaced in Lebanon. UN officials said late last week that almost 900 shelters set up by the government were full.
Staff at the nightclub, who are now coordinating its day-to-day operations as a shelter, said that the owner of the venue was moved to open it up after seeing displaced families sleeping on the streets outside.

Anti-racists demand safe passage as more refugees die in Channel crossing
05 October 2024
If there were safe and legal routes, refugees wouldn't be forced into the hands of people smugglers
Anti-racists have slammed British and French politicians’ attempts to hide their responsibility for the deaths of refugees in the English Channel.
One of the boats, which was heading towards Britain, called for assistance on Saturday morning. A nearby vessel rescued 14 people from the refugees’ boat, including a dead “minor” and another injured person, according to French maritime authorities.
The French interior minister Bruno Retailleau—the equivalent of the British home secretary—said the child was “trampled to death in a boat”.
Retailleau pushes the same line as the Labour government in Britain. A Home Office spokesman said, “We all want to end dangerous small boat crossings, which threaten lives and undermine our border security.
“As we have seen with so many recent devastating tragedies in the Channel, the people-smuggling gangs do not care if the vulnerable people they exploit live or die, as long as they pay.
In reality, it’s the French and British governments that have blood on their hands—and a crackdown only makes more death inevitable.

PM Anwar: Muslims must understand meaning of unity and avoid confusion, division
06 Oct 2024
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 — Muslims must always be determined and understand the meaning and necessity for unity, which is an important prerequisite in efforts to develop a sustainable national economy.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said confusion and division occurring in Islamic nations could become a platform for enemies to attack, insult and conquer, as seen happening in Gaza, Palestine and now spreading to Lebanon.
He said Muslims must also possess understanding, patience and wisdom in taking any measures because the strength of a nation will serve as a foundation for the next move.
“That’s why in the Madani Government we have started by fostering strong unity among us, ensuring understanding and peace among Muslims and non-Muslims in our country.

Canadian Ummah Breaking Down Barriers To Nature For Muslim Students — One Classroom At A Time
Brandie Weikle
Oct 06, 2024
A non-profit geared to creating an environmental movement within the Canadian Muslim community has taken its work inside the classroom. The aim is to help students make connections between sustainable habits and their cultural values.
Aadil Nathani, co-founder of Green Ummah — ummah means community in Arabic — said the group was created to help address under-representation in environmental causes among Muslim people as well as other racialized groups.
The organization worked with teachers and the environmental organization Nature Canada to develop a two-week curriculum program taught in both private Islamic school settings and public schools in communities with higher rates of racialized and newcomer Canadians. It's called the Greening Our Communities toolkit.
Nathani told Laura Lynch, host of CBC Radio's What on Earth, he believes the program is the only one in the world with ready-to-teach packages designed for teachers to engage their students on the topics of Islam and the environment, as well as environmental justice.
"We see these students as the future leaders in the world," said Nathani, who also acts as the group's director of operations and partnerships, and is a Scarborough, Ont., lawyer by day.

'How does your mom do it': Kamala Harris on how she broke ice with her stepchildren
Oct 5, 2024
Vice president Kamala Harris addressed the Modern Family situation of her own family in the latest episode of the All The Smoke podcast and explained what it takes to be a step parent. Kamala said since she was a child of divorced parents, she knew what it was to be a child of divorced parents and she was very intentional about forming a very healthy relationship with Ella ad Cole -- the children of Doug Emhoff and his former wife Kerstin Emhoff.
"My parents were divorced when I was 5. When Doug and I started dating, his parents were married for 60 years. I had to explain to him what it is like to be a child of divorced parents," Kamala said.
The Democrat presidential candidate said it was important for her to know about Doug and her relationship before she formed a relationship with Ella and Cole because children form attachment. "I was very intentional about waiting to know that this is a real relationship before I got to know the children. And I love them because they are my children," Kamala said.
Harris said she has a close and respectful relationship with Kerstin as well, which may not be easy but one has to work at it. "We teach our kids how to drive, we sit down with our children with their homework but we should actually role-model how to develop emotion healthy relationships. We have to be very intentional about it."

Barron Trump Was Bullied For Autism Rumours, Reveals Melania
Oct 6, 2024
Melania Trump in her upcoming book addressed the major rumour over her and Donald Trump's only son Barron Trump -- that he has autism. Comedian Rosie O'Donnell, Donald Trump's staunch critic, sparked the speculations that Barron may have autism. This impacted the then 10-year-old adversely and he was subjected to bullying, Melania revealed. The bullying made it impossible to accept O'Donell's eventual apology. Melania wrote O'Donell acted just out of sheer malice. But the episode helped Melania to focus on child-centric initiatives, on childhood welfare and online bullying, she said.
“Barron’s experience of being bullied both online and in real life following the incident is a clear indication of the irreparable damage caused,” Melania wrote, as quoted by the New York Times. “No apology can undo the harm inflicted upon him," she wrote making it clear that she's still furious at Ms O'Donnell.
Melania convened a meeting of tech executives at the White House in March 2018 to talk about childhood safety online. She wrote that she "was taken aback by the resistance from tech executive from Google, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon and Snapchat."

Harry, Meghan will go separate ways but no, they are not splitting
Oct 5, 2024
Prince Harry and Duchess of Sussex will professionally go different ways amid intense speculations that they will split but their PR machinery emphasized that they are not divorcing -- though they may not be seen together much. For example, Prince Harry took a solo sojourn in New York and then flew to the UK followed by South African country Lesotho while Meghan remained in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. She could have accompanied Prince Harry to New York but it was said she was unwell. But now it is learnt that Meghan is reportedly working on her forthcoming career moves. Meghan's hands are full with the upcoming launch of her new Netflix show, lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.
Their friends told PEOPLE that Harry and Meghan remain a happy couple but they are professionally taking a twin-track approach where Meghan explores Hollywood and entrepreneurial projects. A twin-track approach on the professional front is evolving where they are not just a couple but individuals with their different roles. . "The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals – not just as a couple. The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track," the insider said, as reported by PEOPLE.
But the divorce rumors are far from dying as Prince Harry spent the night of his 40th birthday with friends on a hiking trip instead of Meghan Markle. In his thanks message too. there was no mention of Meghan. But insiders said it was Meghan who booked the hiking trip for Harry and his friends.
According to a steady exodus of Harry and Meghan's staff members some of whom called Meghan Hitler, reports claimed that Harry and Meghan have recognized that they don't work well together professionally. Since stepping down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020, they have explored many things but nothing worked in favor of them.
