The 63-year-old claimed she was asked if she “wanted to be raped my Muslims” by far right groups after sharing left wing views on X, formerly known as Twitter.
She then shared her own tragic past of being “sexually trafficked by a far right Scottish uncle” and shared a picture of her at the young age she was when it happened.
The comedian shared the information on social media to slam far right groups for attempting to “defend their racism”.
She also spoke out about protests breaking out across the UK and called for rioters to be “arrested” by police.
Janey posted: “When I was this age I was sexually trafficked by a white, far right Orange Lodge Scottish uncle- he eventually got arrested 30 years later.
“Stop asking me if I want be raped by Muslims as a way to defend your racism - I survived.”
We previously reported how police in Glasgow have issued a statement following speculation of a protest in the city today.
It comes after information has been spread regarding a potential far-right hate march taking place in George Square on Wednesday, August 7.
However, a statement by Police Scotland Greater Glasgow reads: "We are aware of speculation circulating about a protest in George Square today.
"There is no intelligence to suggest any protest is planned. Please be wary of what you read on social media and chat groups, and avoid speculation and sharing information which may be inaccurate."
Last night, Volunteer Glasgow revealed they would be cancelling a workshop today due to the potential protest.
A post read: "We have been made aware of various reports circulating online about a potential English Defence League (EDL) and Scottish Defence League (SDL) protest happening tomorrow in Glasgow city centre (George Square).
"These reports have not been confirmed, but to take extra caution in relation to the safety of our staff and service users, we will be cancelling the Drop-In at Skills Development Scotland tomorrow.
"Our office in Brunswick House will also be closed for the day, reopening on the 9th. Thank you for your understanding and sorry for any inconvenience caused."

Reza Rasaei's Execution Sparks Clashes at Iranian Jail's Women's Ward
AUGUST 7, 2024
Tensions have escalated in Tehran's Evin
Prison following the execution of imprisoned protester Reza Rasaei on Tuesday
------------
Tensions have escalated in Tehran's Evin Prison following the execution of imprisoned protester Reza Rasaei on Tuesday.
The execution has sparked protests in the women's ward of the prison, leading to reported clashes between security officers and inmates.
The women's ward at Evin Prison has been at the forefront of a campaign called "No Execution Tuesdays," protesting against the rising number of executions in Iran.
According to reports from political activists, security forces attacked protesters in response to the demonstrations, and the prison's phone lines were disconnected.
Human rights activist Aliya Matlabzadeh posted on X, "Reza Rasaei was executed, and that is in the days when we all worry about conflict and the outbreak of war."
She added that female prisoners vocally protested Rasaei's execution, calling on the public to oppose such actions.
TaghiRahmani, husband of Nobel Peace Prize laureate and political prisoner Narges Mohammadi, confirmed the disconnection of Evin prison's telephone lines.
Political activist Mehdi Mahmoudian reported that several political prisoners were injured during the security forces' intervention and were taken to the hospital.
Due to the communication blackout, details about the prisoners' conditions remain unclear.
Rasaei was executed at dawn on August 6 at Dizel Abad Prison in Kermanshah. Just an hour after his execution, his body was buried on the outskirts of Kermanshah, far from Sahneh, in a ceremony attended only by close family members, including his mother.
Security forces restricted access to the burial site, preventing people from attending and saying their final goodbyes.
Before Rasaei's execution, death sentences had been carried out for Mohsen Shekari, MajidrezaRahnavard, Mohammad Hosseini, Mohammad Mehdi Karmi, Majid Kazemi, Saeed Yaqoubi, Saleh Mirhashmi, Milad Zohrehvand, and Mohammad Qobadloo.
Rasaei's execution follows a rapid legal process that has raised serious concerns about due process.
Mohammad Rasool Haqnejati, head of the second branch of the Criminal Court of Kermanshah, issued the death sentence in October 2023.
On December 31 that year, he forwarded Rasaei's case to the Execution of Sentences Department of Kermanshah province, two weeks after Iran's Supreme Court had approved the sentence.
Rasaei was sentenced to death for the alleged murder of Nader Bairami, the IRGC intelligence chief in Sahneh City.
However, human rights organizations have highlighted significant issues with the case. The sentence was reportedly issued under pressure from the head of the judiciary despite a lack of evidence to prove the crime.

Aliya Hamza PTI’s Leader Released from Jail After Over 1 Year
August 07, 2024
GUJRANWALA: After spending more than 1 year behind bars, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aliya Hamza has finally been released from prison after she secured a bail in cases related to May 9, 2023, riots.
The PTI stalwart was released from Gujranwala's Central Jail after a district and sessions court approved her bail in the May 9 case on July 31.
A district and sessions judge in Gujranwala earlier today (Wednesday) also issued the politico's release orders after she submitted surety bonds worth Rs50,000 in line with the Lahore High Court (LHC) order.
Earlier today, LHC Justice Ali BaqarNajafi restrained the law enforcement agencies from arresting the PTI leader in any new case until August 29.
The high court had also sought a report from the Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) during the hearing of Aliya's bail plea submitted by her husband to prevent her arrests in new cases.
Heavy contingents of police were deployed outside the central jail from where Aliya departed with her family.
The former National Assembly lawmaker is facing charges of involvement in anarchy, chaos and arson during the May 9 violent protests last year in which the government and military installations were targeted.
Aliya had secured bail in different cases multiple times in the past but she was immediately rearrested by police in other cases.

Fears for women’s rights as Iraqi bill resurfaces
August 08, 2024
Baghdad: Rights advocates are alarmed by a bill introduced to Iraq’s parliament that, they fear, would roll back women’s rights and increase underage marriage in the deeply patriarchal society.
The bill would allow citizens to choose either religious authorities or the civil judiciary to decide on family affairs. Critics fear this will lead to a slashing of rights in matters of inheritance, divorce and child custody.
In particular, they are worried it would effectively scrap the minimum age for Muslim girls to marry, which is set in the 1959 Personal Status Law at 18 — charges lawmakers supporting the changes have denied.
According to the United Nations children’s agency, UNICEF, 28 percent of girls in Iraq are already married before the age of 18.
“Passing this law would show a country moving backwards, not forward,” Human Rights Watch (HRW) researcher Sarah Sanbar said.
AmalKabashi, from the Iraq Women’s Network advocacy group, said the amendment “provides huge leeway for male dominance over family issues” in an already conservative society.
Activists have demonstrated against the proposed changes and were planning to protest again later Thursday in Baghdad.
The 1959 legislation passed shortly after the fall of the Iraqi monarchy and transferred the right to decide on family affairs from religious authorities to the state and its judiciary.
This looks set to be weakened under the amendment, backed by conservative Shiite Muslim deputies, that would allow the enforcement of religious rules, particularly Shiite and Sunni Muslim.
There is no mention of other religions or sects which belong to Iraq’s diverse population.
In late July, parliament withdrew the proposed changes when many lawmakers objected to them. They resurfaced in an August 4 session after receiving the support of powerful Shiite blocs which dominate the chamber.
It is still unclear if this bid to change the law will succeed where several earlier attempts have failed.
“We have fought them before and we will continue to do so,” Kabashi said.
Amnesty International’s Iraq researcher RazawSalihy said the proposed changes should be “stopped in their tracks.”
“No matter how it is dressed up, in passing these amendments, Iraq would be closing a ring of fire around women and children,” she said.
According to the proposed changes, “Muslims of age” who want to marry must choose whether the 1959 Personal Status Law or Sharia Islamic rules apply to them on family matters.
They also allow already-married couples to convert from the civil law to religious regulations.
Constitutional expert Zaid Al-Ali said the 1959 law “borrowed the most progressive rules of each different sect, causing a huge source of irritation for Islamic authorities.”
Several attempts to abrogate the law and revert to traditional Islamic rules have been made since the 2003 US-led invasion that toppled dictator Saddam Hussein.
This time, lawmakers are maintaining the 1959 law by giving people a chance to choose it over religious authorities.
“They are giving men the option to shop in their own favor,” Ali said. The bill would hand them “more power over women and more opportunities to maintain wealth, control over children, and so on.”
By giving people a choice, “I think basically they’re trying to increase the chances of the law being adopted,” Ali said.
The new bill gives Shiite and Sunni institutions six months to present to parliament for approval a set of rules based on each sect.
By giving power over marriage to religious authorities, the amendment would “undermine the principle of equality under Iraqi law,” Sanbar of HRW said.
It also “could legalize the marriage of girls as young as nine years old, stealing the futures and well-being of countless girls.”
“Girls belong on the playground and in school, not in a wedding dress,” she said.
HRW warned earlier this year that religious leaders in Iraq conduct thousands of unregistered marriages each year, including child marriages, in violation of the current law.
Many argue that historically Islam has allowed the marriage of pubescent girls from the age of nine, as the Prophet Muhammad is said to have married one of his wives Aisha at that age.
But rights group say child marriages violate human rights, deprive girls of education and employment, and exposes them to violence.
Lawmaker Raed Al-Maliki, who brought the amendment forward and earlier this year successfully backed an anti-LGBTQ bill in parliament, denied that the new revisions allow the marriage of minors.
“Objections to the law come from a malicious agenda that seeks to deny a significant portion of the Iraqi population” the right to have “their personal status determined by their beliefs,” he said in a television interview.
But Amnesty’s Salihy said that enshrining religious freedom in law with “vague and undefined language” could “strip women and girls of rights and safety.”
