Don't Emulate Pakistanis in Condemning Ahmadis in India

"When
you're besieged and beleaguered from all sides, show a modicum of sanity to
earn some brownie points. "The sage advice of the former US General Colin
Powell must be heeded by already cornered Muslims of India who're following in
the footsteps of their much more fanatic brethren from Pakistan in condemning
Ahmadiyyas as non-Muslims and Kafirs. Now when the Indian Muslims and ulema are
also calling the ill-fated Qadianis non-Muslims, one must say that Muslims,
whether from India, Pakistan or Bangladesh, are the same in their zealotry.

You may
have noticed that in recent times, Indian Muslims have started emulating
Pakistani Muslims in letter and spirit. Whether it's the most obnoxious Allah
Hafiz in lieu of Khuda Hafiz, wearing ankle-high trousers or shaving moustache
and sporting a beard, Indian Muslims have been following these weird trends and
totems from neighbouring Pakistan.
The whole
world is aware of the plight of Ahmadiyyas in Pakistan. They cannot even
sacrifice animals on Eid-al-Azha and are killed at the drop of a hat.
Those Sunnis who kill them are called martyrs or ghazi (a fighter fighting for
a noble and religious cause) in Pakistan.
But those
are morons having bovine brains in human craniums. Indian Muslims must ask
themselves whether they're also equally imbeciles in casting aspersions on
Ahmadis? The founder of this sect, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani, hailed from
Qadian in India's Punjab. Agreed, his followers hold him in high esteem and
even call him a quasi-messiah and accord a sort of a prophethood to him, but is
it a felony or blasphemy? Don't they consider Muhammad to be a Prophet? They
do. Don't they believe in Allah? They do.

Does the
addition of an alternative guide in the form of Ghulam Ahmad become such a
monumental crime that all Ahmadis are excommunicated and persecuted? Ahmadi
thought emphasizes the belief that Islam is the final dispensation for humanity
as revealed to Muhammad and the necessity of restoring it to its true intent
and pristine form, which had been lost through the centuries.
Its
adherents consider Ahmad to have appeared as the Mahdi—bearing the qualities of
Jesus in accordance with their reading of scriptural prophecies—to revitalize
Islam and set in motion its moral system that would bring about lasting peace.

They
believe that upon divine guidance he purged Islam of foreign accretions in
belief and practice by championing what is, in their view, Islam's original
precepts as practised by Muhammad and the early Muslim community. Ahmadis thus
view themselves as leading the propagation and renaissance of Islam.
Islam lacks
inclusiveness and is extremely incestuous - (used about a group of people and
their relationships with each other) too close; not open to anyone outside the
group; not used here in a sexual context/ It's now a sociological term for
being too clannish; you can Google or refer to any standard lexicon for the
alternative connotation of the word 'incestuous').

Muslims
mustn't forget that their greatest modern scientist and Nobel laureate
Professor Dr Abdus Salam was an Ahmadi from Pakistan and the spiritual founder
of Pakistan, Dr Muhammad Iqbal was also a closet Ahmadi or at least, genuinely
sympathised with them. Both are venerable names among the Muslims of India and
Pakistan. So, don't follow the asinine Muslims of Pakistan and stop condemning
Ahmadis in India.
