Communal
Hatred Destroyed Many Things, But Not Humanity
Main
Points
1. Hatred
destroyed many things, but not everything.
2. Yogita
Bhayana supports Kallu Mian and emphasizes that we are millions more numerous
than miscreants.
3. Despite
bloodshed and arson, communal harmony remained untarnished.
4. The “Angels
of Nuh" rescued lives and secured distressed individuals, symbolizing the
real hope of the country.
------
The
communal riots erupted in the Nuh district of Haryana during a Braj Mandal
Yatra organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on July 31, 2023. The flames
of hatred destroyed many things, but not everything. However, it is believed
that nothing can harm the world as long as humanity is alive. A woman by the
name of Yogita is an example of this. She not only managed a shop for Kallu
Mian, who had lost his shop, together with the mattresses and cotton it
contained, as a result of violence, but she also kept a stock of new mattresses
there so he could dispel the darkness that the evildoers had brought into his
life.
Yogita
Bhayana, a social activist and the founder of the NGO ‘People Against Rape in
India (PARI)’, who is now gaining prominence for her social media video going
viral, supports Kallu Mian and also makes the point that even if criminals are
numerous, ‘we are millions of times more numerous than them’. The riots that escalated in Gurugram resulted
in the burning down of Kallu Mian's shop.

Black
clouds and flames were visible in the sky during the rioting. Images of the
destruction became more lucid as the fires subsided and the smoke disappeared
from the sky. The national media broadcast this tragedy and shouted and
screamed a tonne of questions. However, some of these stories that must have
disappointed the sectarians have emerged behind these destructive indicators.
They must have had their expectations shattered. Communal harmony was the power
or quality that remained untarnished despite bloodshed and arson. There were
certain faces that were being referred to as "the Angels of Nuh" that
rescued lives, secured the fearful and distressed, or rather brought victims to
safe regions while the media was confused by the names of a few anti-social
elements. These individuals, who we refer to as the pioneers of the Ganga Jamuni
culture and who do not make caste or religious distinctions even in the most
challenging of circumstances, symbolise the real hope of the country.
Yogita has
also surfaced as a character who approached Nuh after viewing the footage of
Kallu Khan's ash-filled shop. In a social media video going viral, Yogita is
shown giving Kallu Khan a new shop as a gift and stocking it with supplies for
his shop.
In the
video, she says, "We are with you." There is absolutely no reason to
be afraid. She says, pointing to a young man.
I have viewed the video by Zakirji. Since then, I've given a lot of
thought, and I'm upset and concerned. I believed that you needed our
assistance, therefore we reached out to you.
Kallu Khan
says, "Everyone is helping, and I'm very happy." Yogita asserts that
more people will help you through us now that the shop is open. I pray that God
willing, your job will be so good that you will never be without anything and
that other people will be saved in the same way as you. I want to help them
too. A young man named Zakir recites the poems of Rahat Indori in the video
while resting his hand on Kallu Khan's shoulder.
Na
Hamsafar Na Kisi Hamnasheen Se Niklega
Hamaare Paaon
Ka Kaanta Hamin Se Niklega
This
couplet becomes true under these conditions and assistance. His store was set
on fire by vandals, and the burned pieces and traces are still visible. Yogita
Ji contacted Kallu Khan after viewing a post on social media and expressed her
wish to assist Kallu Khan. Kallu Khan expresses gratitude to Yogita. Yogita
then addresses Kallu Khan, saying, "If anyone bothers you, let us know,
and we'll come to help you."
