The Quran and Management of Family Relations: For
Educated Youths
Aftab Alam Khan, Notion Press
Several books briefly explain Islam's philosophy. Some of
these books are very scholarly and do not address the needs of the familiar
audience. It has become necessary for people of all faiths to understand the
basic concepts of every faith because
we now live in a multicultural society. It can help in strengthening pluralism
and creating a healthy community bond.
Aftab Alam Khan has been a banker and dedicated student of
multiple faiths. He has attempted to bring out a simple book on the Muslim
faith which can help any ordinary reader understand Muslim culture and the
rules of their faith. At the same time, it can help Muslims get clarity on
their faith
Khan has done excellent service by dispelling several myths,
such as polygamy and women's rights and their controversial social position.
Khan has made a very selective collection of verses throughout his period of
study of the Qur'an and quoted the most relevant ones so that the Qur'an speaks
directly to readers about the theoretical explanation of the Qur'an.
The key objective of Khan's book is to create harmonious
families with religious and social solidarity. Although the primary focus is on
this theme, Khan captures the essential teachings of the Qur'an, which are
woven into family life. Since the most relevant and meaningful Qur'anic verses
have been used, the book remains relatively brief and a handy companion and
primer.
