Solution to Prevent Radicalism In Europe: Support Turks' Moderate Interpretation Of Islam
    Ayse Sahin

"Islam itself is moderate in its nature and never promotes violence. Most Islamic scholars agree on this. And when you turn your back on a country representative of this 'middle way' you leave Europe vulnerable toward the influence of other extreme movements," he said. US Faces a Moral Dilemma In Syria
    Aijaz Zaka Syed

April 6, 2017 marked the 100th anniversary of the United States’ reluctant plunge into the World War I.  Fearful of foreign entanglement, America stood watching for three years while on the other side of the Atlantic young men slaughtered each other. Finally, Congress gave the go-ahead and President Woodrow Wilson declared war against Germany on April 6, 1917. One is not sure if President Donald Trump had been conscious of the historic backdrop of his decision when he ordered the US missile attack on Syria last week, on April 6....

    Daesh: Diminishing Potential in Afghanistan
    S. Binodkumar Singh

After gaining early momentum in the eastern parts of Afghanistan, Daesh's capabilities and territorial dominance began quickly to wane, both as a result of disproportionate focus by the Afghan and Coalition militaries, and because the group, unlike the Taliban, is not seen as an indigenous entity, and has consequently failed to consolidate local support. Moreover, Daesh's practice of accusing fellow Muslims of apostasy for deviating from its own violent interpretation of Islam does has found few takers in Afghanistan's tribal cultures...

Her doctor has said the foetus is showing signs of severe complications and will probably die. The woman wants to know if Islam will permit her to have an abortion. After clarifying a few other details, Sheikha Naeema issues a fatwa. “If the foetus is severely ill and will not survive, you may have an abortion,” she tells the woman. “You must take advice from your physician, he will guide you. Religion does not conflict with medicine.”....

The Ahadith That Distort The Message Of The Quran – Part Two
    Naseer Ahmed, New Age Islam

What about the Lakhs of Ahadith that were rejected by the compilers as unreliable? Did Imam Bukhari, Muslim, Dawood, Tirmidhi, Nasai and Ibn Maja insult the Prophet by rejecting hundreds of thousands of his reported sayings? If the answer is no, then there is no insult to the Prophet if anyone rejects every Hadith as unreliable. That is every person’s choice. Believing in the Ahadith is not an article of faith for a Muslim and indeed these Books were only compiled some 250 years after the death of the Prophet….

IS, ISIS, ISIL or Daesh is a terrorist, mercenary, army at the service of imperial forces. They do not speak for Islam or represent Islam in any shape or form. To describe such psychopaths as Sunnis is to insult the Sunnah. To describe Da‘ish as “Islamic” is an insult to Islam. The only terms that adequately describes the ideology of these demons is Takfiri, Wahhabi, Khariji, and Nasibi, Excommunicators, Wahhabis, Separatists, and Haters of the Household of the Prophet. ISLAM IS A RELIGION OF PEACE AND PLURALISM
    Muhammad Yunus, New Age Islam

To wrap up this essay and put a seal of peace and pluralism on the Prophet’s mission we quote below the following verses that make it amply clear that the eventual goal was peace, moral uprightness (taqwa) and justice and not war, injustice and ‘Sword’:

“You who believe, be upright before God as witnesses to justice), and let not the hatred of any people prompt you to detract from justice. Deal justly: this is nearest to heedfulness (taqwa); and heed God. Surely God is Informed of what you do” (5:8).

“... And let not the hatred of a people who (once) obstructed you from (entering the) Sacred House, lead you to be hostile. Therefore, help each other to virtue and uprightness (taqwa), and do not collaborate with each other in sin and enmity. Heed God, and (remember,) God is severe in punishment” (5:2).

“It may be that God will bring about love between you and those of them you (now) regard as your enemies. (Remember,) God is Able (to do anything) and God is Most Forgiving and Merciful (60:7). God does not forbid you to be virtuous and just to those who did not fight you over religion, nor drove you from your homelands. Indeed, God loves the just (60:8). God only forbids you to befriend those who fought against you over religion, and expelled you from your homelands, and backed (others) in your expulsion; and whoever befriends them – it is they who are unjust” (60:9).

The Qur’anic verses relating to all the major expeditions as captured in this work from Qur’anic allusions were specific to given contexts, and since the contexts cannot be recreated as much as the Prophet and his companions cannot be brought back to life, they are not of any direct relevance this day – and this must be true for all so-called ‘fighting verses’ of the Qur’an. Their presence in the Qur’an is essential to establish Islam as a religion of peace as this discourse aims at…..

    Sadia Dehlvi
In the subcontinent, Islam is the legacy of the Sufis who gave us traditions of syncretism and communal harmony. By condemning Sufi followers as “grave worshippers”, Salafi and Wahhabi ideology-inspired speakers such as Zakir Naik reject an entire historical body of Islamic scholarship, jurisprudence and almost 80 per cent of Islamic literature. Naik is on record saying, “If Osama bin Laden is terrorising America or the enemies of Islam, every Muslim should become a terrorist.” Excerpts of this video are circulating on the internet, damaging the already wounded perception of Islam and its followers. – Sadia Dehlvi

The prime question which never gets asked either by the Choudarys or the Naiks and millions of other Muslims is that why they are being made targets of vilification. What else do they expect when in the 21st century, they want to implement an early medieval law? Islamic Ideology

There isn’t a subject on which the Ahadith do not mislead vis-à-vis the clear message of the Quran whether it is war, divorce, female witnessing, inheritance, or even the hajj. In this article, we discuss one Hadith which is causing the greatest damage and is truly satanic in its scope. Consider the following Hadith:

The Tafseer of Ibn Kathir on verses 2:191 to 193 and 8:36 to 8:38 quotes a Hadith collected in the two Sahihs in which the Prophet (pbuh) is alleged to have said:

    «أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ، حَتَّى يَقُولُوا: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، فَإِذَا قَالُوهَا عَصَمُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ، إِلَّا بِحَقِّهَا، وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَل»

(I was commanded to fight against the people until they proclaim, `There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah.' If and when they say it, they will preserve their blood and wealth from me, except for its right (Islamic penal code), and their reckoning is with Allah, the Exalted and Most Honoured.)"...

Islamist Editors are Indeed Radicalising Indian Muslims
    Tufail Ahmad

I cited from research by Delhi-based reformist Islamic writer Sultan Shahin saying that 18,000 Muslims from India went to Turkey to fight for the Ottoman Caliphate in the 1920s when there was no internet. Without refuting Sultan Shahin's research, Zafarul Islam launched an abusive attack on Shahin, describing him as a person with "dubious connections." It is criminal to accuse someone of something "dubious" without citing at least one reason. But perhaps his Islam teaches Zafarul Islam to do so.

Sultan Shahin has written: "Even historical fiction written by 20th century Urdu novelist Nasim Hijazi, for instance, can be taken as a call for jihad, far more effective than any overt Jihadi literature."[xix] In the Friday Times, Lahore-based academic Raza Naeem wrote: "Nasim Hijazi, the writer of Urdu potboilers glorifying such foreign conquerors as Muhammad bin Qasim and Hajjaj bin Yousaf [both of whom planned the invasion of India by Muhammad bin Qasim in 712 CE as a result of which all native civilisations and ways of living have been wiped out from Balochistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan for ever]."...
