  • Do me a favor. Ask the concerned from the respective community to write about the same. I don't trust Muslims writing on Hindu literature.

  • Hats Off's invocation of "No true Scotsman" is fallacious and deceitful.

  • Hinduism does not promote idolatry and polytheism. It promotes Monotheism. I am sure. But it does not turn a blind eye to Social, cultural and religious evolution, which the Non-Hindu religious institutions do.  The Allah/God of Arabia did not prescribe  any code of conduct of life and copy of Koran etc to Adam and EVe. Why ? Both are left naked by the Allah. During the course of social changes/transformations different cultural groups became neighbours and Hindu Sages united them by at the first instance accepting  their culture and God.If in a Hindu temples 10 idols exists today 10 groups integrated  into One. By cultural  social and spiritual evolution one can dispense idols. This is the real teaching of Hinduism.Hinduism does not denigrate idols as signs and ways of sin as Islam does and causing   large scale of Human blood.Hindu sage are not ready to break  idols at the cost of humanity. Because of Muslim and British rules Hindu society is denigrated as Khafirs and satan friendly sect and the real spirit of Hinduism is put in the oblivion. Let each and every Indian be taught about Swami vivekananda and Sri Narayana Guru, Hindus would soon out grow idols. Idolatry is not sin as Islam defines it. Islam has its own inherant evils such as child marriage polygamy and denigrating Non-Muslims as Khafirs.

  • Dumb comment from Hats Off! All religions have their roots in seeking answers to questions that are universal.

    By Ghulam Mohiyuddin - 6/27/2019 10:00:33 AM

  • there IS no commonality between religions except when lying and deceit are the main components of interfaith.

  • It is good to seek commonalities between  different religions. That may not suit Hats Off's hate-based negativism. No surprise!

  • raja ram mohan roy is basically a confused and shocked man who thought christianity was the answer to the horrors of islamic rule which his native religion could never fight off.
he is neither here nor there. he is today almost forgotten - a crime worse than being bitterly criticized.
all in all an entirely forgotten and forgettable man.
